I do have more of an interest in Science Fiction than I do on more of a realistic aspect that The Wire is based upon. That's purely where I would make my decision on.

I love the show to death. I get so into it. Certainly does have lots of SEX in it. My brother's rant on it was pretty hilarious. He claims it's nothing but people fucking every episode. While I do think the program has much more substance than that, he isn't incorrect. It's right up my alley. It's different, has broad imagination, and aspects of media & lore I enjoy with Vampires/any other forms of Fantasy type elements & creatures. I love the infusion on creating a world where Vampires existed and were often acknowledged. Always wanted to see that done in different fashions than some movies have. It's emphasized much more with True Blood.

Doesn't hurt I've fallen in love with a dame on it too. That's for sure.

Battlestar is a show about the best and worst aspects of human nature set in a sci fi setting. Its probably much different than you are expecting.

The Redhead on TB is pretty hot though. I'll give you that.

I'm jumping to a Star Trek type deal. Sci-Fi adventures with general character development throughout. So I'm probably pretty off.

Yeah BSG is more about "We lost a war and we're desperate to survive" than Sci Fi adventures.

Certainly was off. I expected laser space battles. The Trek has plagued my mind for TV shows dealing with space.

Nah, it's on a viewing list for me. A friend of mine loves it. Always told me to check it out too. After seeing the episode of Portlandia where they marathon watch it b/c it's so good, well that was pretty much the last straw telling me I have to give it a chance. It might make me want to do the same.

I started watching Parks and Recreation pretty recently guys, I really like it, I'd watched a bit of season 1 episode 1 a while ago, and decided recently I wanted to start watching the show, as I said, really enjoying it.

I'm at season 2 episode 16. Even though there's quite a bit to go, I'm looking forward to it, and I was wondering what the kind of 'consensus' is on the characters and stuff, the main ones? I know I'm going to be introduced to some new ones ver shortly, near the end of season 2 though.

It deserves the hype/acclaim it gets.
