Parks can vary from person to person in just how much you laugh. I mean there's numerous forms of comedy to make you laugh but I can appreciate the fact the show isn't filled with joke after joke can mean what some people find hilarious others enjoy but on a lesser level. However I don't think the depth in all the characters, the way they write and gradually reveal more and more about Pawnee as this gem of a community and the consistently smart writing can be questioned.

Speaking of which, Parks was fucking mesmerising this week. Best episode of the season imo:

Tammy II returned! I don't think there's been a Ron dominated episode which has failed to deliver and this was no exception. All the stuff in the Wood Working Awards ceremony was amazing. From Leslie's speech where she lets slip a secret about Ron and his alarmed reaction that a fellow comrade might have overheard her, to Tammy's numerous sexual innuendo's and trying to seduce Ron up on stage but the best part may have been Ron's schoolgirl esque reaction to seeing some 'celebrities' at the ceremony and the camera cutting to nobody caring about the contestants.

The stuff with Jerry and the rest of the cast was also really funny but also nice character progression. All the stuff with Jerry having an absurdly hot wife and almost the perfect life despite being a buffoon in the office was a hilarious visual gag, and seeing how the rest of them eventually came to feel bad about their jokes at his expense was nice character progression. Don't get me wrong I fully expect to see more Jerry gags throughout the rest of the season, since that's been a staple of the show throughout its run but you still don't feel like this was a wasted scene. On some level now you know they at least care/recognise the man beneath all the bumbling antics, and should there ever be another scene where he suffers some form of distress any sympathy they show to him will be genuine. Thought Chris was also really well written and its great that his therapy obsession can be a balance between great visual comedy and character development, the scenes with Ben especially were nice seeing as both have barely interacted as Ben and Leslie have become a couple.

Ron & Diane continue to be a great relationship and its great to see Ron find someone he's comfortable with without being manipulated like he was by both Tammy's. As much as I'll miss the thought of him in dreadlocks, its nice to see a character develop and grow whilst still remaining remarkably funny. Duke fucking Silver returing to show how much he was ready to share with Diane was a perfect ending to the episode as well.

A couple of other highlights from the episode:

Chris saying "I've thought about it and there's no logical explanation" when Ben finally quizes him on Jerry's wife was super.

The guy leaving the ceremony in disgust/agony when Ron was announced as the winner.

The second woman threatening to kill Diane in jealousy that Duke Silver is her man after another woman compliments her on how lucky she is.

I got about midway through season 3 with The Wire and started losing interest a bit. I'll get back to it eventually though. Stringer Bell is the main reason I'll go back to it as the cops have got a bit boring. McNulty is just the same old shit, different episode.

But I'm rooting for Bell.

I've fallen behind on PARKS this season. Giddy with excitement knowing I can cram the entire season whenever I want. Might do so right now after the latest episode of The Office.

Does anyone else fucking hate Gordan Ramsey? I know most of you probably don't give a shit but i'm watching Masterchef USA for the first time and its exactly the fucking same as every over thing Gordan Ramsey is host of. He's a fucking discouraging asshole. Fuck him.



Anyway, need a new show to watch before Walking Dead and Breaking Bad are back... Justified any good?
