Re: TV SHOW discussion thread (NO FUCKING SPOILERS please)

I come from an area where Duck Hunting is rather a big deal so I connect with it on a better level than most. Live in an "redneck" area which is unfortunate for me but it does allow me to better comprehend this type of television.

Not my cup of tea. More power to you.

I'm pretty anti-Reality TV on most programs though. Doesn't even have to relate to a rural or "redneck" lifestyle for me to not be a fan. Granted those are an immediate "channel changer" type deal.

PARKS OWNS.

Rewatching Community season 2 right now. Watched Conspiracy Theories & Soft Defenses tonight. It holds up as one of my favorites of the season. The lead in the pillows vs blankets episode in Season 3

Re: TV SHOW discussion thread (NO FUCKING SPOILERS please)

Parks is great, but be advised the show only truly comes into its own from Season 2 onwards. The 6 episode first season comes at a time where it was still going to be essentially an Office spinoff set in a different setting. By season 2 however they tweak out the characters and really take the show in their own direction and it becomes much better as a result.

That isn't to say Season 1 is horrible or anything close to that. But if you find yourself a little apprehensive after Season 1 then rest assured Season 2 and beyond is where the true love for the show begins and that's a better way of judging whether the show clicks for you.

The further you go along with PARKS the better it gets. By the time Season 3 hits you'll be in love. No doubt.

You'll probably realize it mid-way through Season 2, tbhayley.

Kinda the same as Community. Both shows don't really seem to find their identity until their respective second seasons.
