I might have The Office ahead of Extras shortly, very close though, and yeah, both are great, I think moat of his stuff has been good, apart (from what I've gathered) his really early stuff, prior to The Office, his first 'steps' and a show called 'Meet Ricky Gervais', everything has been at least just okay (Life's Too Short).

Check out the pilot of 'Derek' if you've not seen it, it's his newest show, that starts here for a season in January/February.

Yeah I saw Derek, really liked it. Genuinely quite moving which surprised me, but then again the last few episodes of The Office and the Extras Christmas special were pretty emotional too I thought. Life's Too Short started off well (Neeson and Depp cameo's were class), but by the end I didn't care for it. The Ricky Gervais Show is always great, and An Idiot Abroad is great but that's obviously for Pilkington. I love his first two stand up shows too.

Yeah, Derek is more 'straight up' emotional based, although focusing on comedy aspects,I'm looking forward to it.

And I always say to people when I'm talking about Ricky Gervais that I like his style, and when you think through his shows it's a really good 'track record', in terms of his created/written shows. I'm going to go to his next tour, probably late 2013 or early 2014.

Yeah I've got both seasons of An Idiot Abroad, Karl Pilkington is so cool, everything they do from promo's to the show itself is so funny, as is Dougie's hair in Derek, haha.

Re: TV SHOW discussion thread (NO FUCKING SPOILERS please)

Anyone else slightly worried about the next idiot abroad? I love Karl, I even have all of his books. The problem is that annoying little midget. The fun of Idiot abroad is Karl being forced to suffer through the things he doesn't love and taking him out of his comfort zone, adding in someone who might like doing the stuff is just going to ruin it for me :\

Also, I am just about to start watching The Walking Dead. Got about halfway through the first Comic (up to where the cop dude first goes to the city), anything I should know?

I definitely don't think Davis should be on the show, not sure how it'll work with him and Karl going around together but I'll wait and see it before I judge.

Re: TV SHOW discussion thread (NO FUCKING SPOILERS please)

This 'season' of an Idiot Abroad is only 2 episodes, because last season was billed as being like a big push to get Karl doing it, legitimately. So this one is short, and there will be (from what Ricky Gervais has said) more footage to make up a decent amount of time overall on the DVD and Blu Ray, which will probably have even more, I'm going to get the Blu Ray once it's out, it's good to have these seasons.

What's amazing about Boardwalk Empire for me is how authentic everything seems. From the music to the amazing sets and clothing, it might be the best looking show ever on TV.

Stephen Graham as Capone is fantastic. My only problem is that he's not on the show enough. BE is still pretty damn good as of season 3.

Boardwalk Empire is great, just finished Season 1. Sopranosesque sex, violence and cool characters = WINNING.

The only thing that bugs me is the constant 20s music playing.

Re: TV SHOW discussion thread (NO FUCKING SPOILERS please)

I thought Idiot abroad 3 was 3 episodes long?
They really dropped the ball with the name as well, easily could of been An idiot & A Dwarf. Guess Idiot abroad is a brand in itself.

I also tried getting into boardwalk empire but I got about 6 episodes in and just didn't really feel interested. I am going to give it another try soon but its more getting hold of it. I also have The Walking Dead, Arrested Development & The Wire to watch and my Flatmates are bugging me like hell to start watching Community.

And through all this a dissertation must be done

Re: TV SHOW discussion thread (NO FUCKING SPOILERS please)

From what I've seen of Boardwalk Empire (first 3 episodes iirc), it really does look great, especially as far as tv shows go.
