No doubt. It wasn't Ren & Stimpy level, but it did have its layers that children would have never understood. I also credit Sailor Mouth as another one. Swearing as the prime part of the episode w/o some "after school special" lesson learned theme attatched. Oh my. Hilarious. Or the episode where Spongebob & Patrick take care of the baby clam and their "sexuality" was put in to question b/c Spongebob was acting as the Mother. Didn't agree with the dumb claim, but still hilarious.

Yeah definitely agree with that. I only saw the early seasons of the US Office (so mainly the Jim/Pam story) because I couldn't really deal with a more US driven comedy after becoming attached to the UK version, but that's definitely a good example of adding depth to the comedy instead of making it a token sub-plot.

Community Season 1 is still kicking ass. Jack Black appearance as the classmate who threatens to affect the rhythm of the group was hilarious and at the bit where Jeff mentions they're all a family but obviously still able to have sexual thoughts about each other, and they all glance at one another with gazing eyes, only for Jeff to look and see Abed eyeing him up. Fucking priceless!

Its amazing how much funnier both Abed and Troy are compared to almost everyone else on the show. Pierce however is really becoming another of my favourites.

Troy's line when he was in the modern dance class was brilliant btw:

"I have spent a lot on breakaway clothes".

Troy would probably be my least favorite character on the show if it weren't for Abed and his shenanigans. But then again Britta still exists. I love that she is the butt of so many jokes, its almost like shes Welsh in a sheep pasture.

Troy and Abed get better too Welshy, some of the shit they come up with for those characters is amazing. I like all the characters on the show tbh, but Shirley annoys the hell out of me.
