Both epic but the carousel pitch has to be the GOAT Mad men scene.

Re: TV SHOW discussion thread (NO FUCKING SPOILERS please)

The Carousel scene was the first thing I ever saw of Mad Men. I ended up watching all of season 1 and 2 in a couple days.

It's genius writing. I think season 2 will be my next dvd purchase. Can't remember much from it aside from the phenomenal scene with Don visiting Peggy at the hospital.

Re: TV SHOW discussion thread (NO FUCKING SPOILERS please)

I bought the first two seasons of Mad Men on Blu-ray about a month ago, I only watched half way through the first season before getting distracted though. I'll get around to watching it again at some point.
I've also currently started watching Justified and Oz, only 2 episodes into both so far but i've liked what i've seen.

I think Mad Men rewards repeat viewings. You also realise how brilliant the characterisation has been when you go back to the early episodes and reflect on how times and people have changed. Peggy in particular goes on a beautifully realised journey through the seasons.

'The Suitcase' (Season 4 epsiode 7) is one of the best episodes ever, not just for Mad Men but the whole of television.
