I've said this many a time but i still stand by this. Note i love series 1%2 of BBT, at times it was genius.
But for the last 3 seasons It's been the same old shit week in week out. BBT is now the John Cena of sitcoms. It's time for a reboot or cancellation but it's CBS's baby and has been signed up for a few more years yet.

No progression for ya eh? Fair enough. The hook that the last season ended on was enough to curry favor for me to want to tune in this season. I still haven't tho, haha.
Not much on TV these days I care pardon 3 shows on NBC + Big Bang. Well, Mike & Molly + 2 Broke Girls too. 2 Broke Girls kind of fizzled out for me. I'd only tune in for eye candy. Monday's usually are only wrestling & football for me now.

I can't get into the current office. I do not like Catherine Tate, at all. Theres just no appeal and charm to it, either. Tried to watch the current episode and felt just inclined to stop after 4-5 minutes.
Big Bang has it moments. I watch it since its a bit of whacky comedy for when I wake up, has 1-2 moments and otherwise feels like its just 'there'. Would say Parks & Rec is currently #1 on the favourites currently list until Community is back.

Yeah I agree with this. I really enjoyed the show at first but I dunno what it is but its just seems lazy, dumbed down and forced during/after season 3.

Yeah, I can do without Catherine Tate myself. Still think Office is bringing it though. Guess I feel inclined to defend since so many said when Steve Carell left the show it would die. I firmly don't believe that. It took a blow since Michael Scott really made the show with his antics. However did it ruin it? Not in my honest opinion it didn't. I thought Season 8 was a ton of fun.

Was horrendous (although I'll say right away this season is better, although still nowhere near what it was), and that's coming from someone who thinks Seasons 1-5 is some of the best stuff from a comedy show i've seen in a LONG time.
Oh and Tate is terrible, how people even consider her funny is beyond me.
And yep BBT has gone gone down the crapper, show is barely watchable these days.
On a positive note, have just finished catching up with 'Louie' just brilliant, the misery/gloom-iness is just hillarious.

We differ a ton on Season 8 then. Ryan Howard character became unbearable. The only real negative I can think of. He's useless anyways.
Plus Ellie Kemper's role on the show got even bigger. That scored points with me. Love her character and herself in general.

Modern Family as around it's best, maybe at it's best after it's 'worst' season, season 3 which was the last one. You guys ^ might like it.

re: TV SHOW discussion thread (NO FUCKING SPOILERS please)
The Office is still bearable to me. Dwight needs his farm show to happen
How people even are able to watch Catherine Tate is beyond me, she's not funny, she says sentences in accents and weird voices which apparently qualifies as comedy?
Season 1-6 of the Office is brilliant, season 7&8 were okay, definitely had their moments. This season feels a little odd, they've made Andy into the new Michael (meaning he's a dick) but without the funny moments and heartfelt moments to even it all out. I mean the last episode he was just awful.
I can't believe Community should have been on last night and instead we have to wait till the new year
