Those final scenes with lucretia and Illythia where almost better than the battle that was going on.

I really need to watch Gods of the Arena, Gannicus was one of my favorite characters in the second half of the season.

Gods of the Arena is pretty great. I don't love the Gannicus character but the scenes with Batiatus are tremendous.

I've caught up with the current season of The Simpsons, and dare I say it is actually been a good showing this time around. It is faring much better than MacFarlane's shows.

Caught up completely with Parks and Recreation the past week (the joys of procrastinating an essay) from Seasons 1-4 and its honestly my favourite comedy of the past decade. The cast are superb and the depth in characters is extraordinary from the set group to the recurring characters like some of the folk at the Town, Kyle who works in the Government and regularly pisses off Andy at the Shoe Shine store or Joan Couzamano or whatever that Talk Show host is called. Ron Swanson is the absolute greatest and Ben and Chris have only increased the quality of the show which I didn't think would be possible, I mean it really speaks about the quality of the show when even my least favourite character on the show (April) still makes me laugh a hell of a lot and is still a good character.

Think one of my favourite scenes was the episode where Ann is picked to run Leslie's campaign and it turns into a disaster with them getting arrested for illegally driving a truck and then when giving a speech at an Ice Hockey arena Tom can only afford a red carpet that lasts about 10 seconds so they have to gingerly walk to the stage on the ice trying not to fall over with her campaign song playing in the background. Whole thing was just incredible.

Looks awesomely bad. That channel was hyping the crap out of it. I dvr'd Above the Law the other day and when I watched it they had a countdown.

Great show but the April character pisses me something fierce unlike the others characters who still seem fresh and funny. The walk on the ice was a tremendous scene.

yeah she's usually the one character that makes me cringe during the show (that bit where she and Andy took on different personas in the club and she pretended to be some aristocrat was one of the very few times I've found a scene terribly unfunny) but I do enjoy her interactions with Ann and there was one line that had me in stitches: 'my mum's puerto rican....I guess that's why I'm such a free spirit'. Her dry wit delivery was just superb there.

She has the great odd line and was fine when she going solo but I find her and Andy deeply annoying as a unit and Andy was one of my fave characters especially when he busy making a fool of himself trying to win over Anne. Then again I just generally hate relationships in sitcoms. This is why romcoms end when people get together in films because there is nothing remotely funny about a happy, content couple.

That's probably why Anne and Tom are going to be hilarious together, happy and content they shall not be.

Also Dave the cop may be my favourite recurring character, his interactions with Ben in the recent episode where he returned to town were brilliant. Ben and Chris really have been great since they debuted.
