I generally like 'White Collar', but I feel they stole the storyline from 'The Town'.

Not sure, but I think the show started before the movie. That said, I bet Affleck's movie was based on a book (Man won his Oscar for writing, for crying out loud!), but I haven't seen or read it, so matters not to me.

Actually, its always been a running joke that Damon wrote most of Good Will Hunting and Affleck was nothing more than a weak partner who took partial credit.

"Funny 'cuz it's true."

That said, I have seen Damon in many movies & TV shows, & liked him. Affleck? Outside of Kevin Smith, not sure I saw anything he's done.

I only liked Armaggedon back when he was younger, but not because he was in it, that movie had a great cast. He was good in The Town a couple years ago though.

At the time (& I think still), I told friends & family "Deep Impact" was a better version of the same movie.

That said, without the Tyler family, that movie doesn't get made, let alone released.

If I ever do see "Town", it will be for Postelthwaite (RIP) & Renner.

I'm not a big fan of Affleck but The Town is a really good movie.

Renner was a madman in that film. So glad he got the Oscar nod for it. He didn't win but only cuz Christian Bale was also nominated, which was probably the only supporting performance that year that was better.
