Psych is a great show if you like stupid/goofy humor. I always watch Psych, seen every episode and it is a great show worth checking out. Plus they have tons of wrestling references in some of the episodes.

Oz is GREAT at it's best, but be warned there's a lot of questionable stuff too. Season 6 was very mediocre I thought.
Yeah, I've heard it can be hit or miss. So far I've found it all enjoyable at least, and the season finales have been really good. It's just a really good way of filling up spare time with the ridiculous Christmas break from work.

As for Carnivale, I'd say season 1 is where everything's laid out, the mythology is gradually explained, and the characters are formed. Season 2 is where it all comes together and it becomes a lot quicker and more explosive, in a way.

A show I can't wait to return is Parks and Recreation, I think it's one of the most underrated comedies on TV. It has really funny characters who are played by a great cast who have a lot of chemistry together and is well written.

I can't wait for the new season of Californiacation. Been a little over a year since the last season ended, it's sucked a lot waiting this long but we aren't far off now.

I thought Deadwood sucked. I watched the entire first season due to the universal praise and I never got into it. I'm not opposed to westerns and I really like Olyphant, but I wasn't able to get into it and gave up after the first season was over.

Speaking of Olyphant, anyone know when the second season of Justified is going to start to air? I love that show and he is awesome in it.

Oz was an amazing series with a ton of really talented actors. Love it to death.

It's a level below The Wire and The Sopranos, but I'd put it right below them. I'd say its on par with shows like The Shield, Six Feet Under, Mad Men, Firefly. It's easily the most rewarding show I've ever watched and just completely sucks you into its mythology. Basically it's the story of the lead up to the final battle between good and evil in 1930's Dustbowl America, it looks like I imagine Grapes Of Wrath would, and is just beautifully written. It's obviously meant to be leading to the final battle in the context of the invention of the atomic bomb, it's sad it never got to that stage, but what was made is just brilliant. Brother Justin Crowe is one of the best characters I've ever seen.

Watching Oz right now, finally got round to buying the complete set as a Christmas present to myself. Just finished season 2 this week. So far so good.
I'm about 8 episodes into season 1 of Carnivale and I'm really enjoying it. Been a few weeks since I watched an episode so I really should get back to it soon.

Also bought the complete Oz set. Haven't started watching that yet, though. I'll probably finish up The Wire first (which is awesome, and makes me wonder why it took me so long to get into season 1).

I've just been watching the first few episodes of Community. I'm enjoying it a lot so far, but I'm not sure if it's worth the long-term commitment considering how many episodes I'm behind. Those who've seen more than me, what are your thoughts on it?

I enjoy Psych and Burn Notice a lot. Psych is more-or-less just a new case each week but it's always hilarious. Burn Notice isn't as good as the first two seasons but it's far from bad. Just picked up season 3 actually and going to give it another go. The 2 hour finale from last week is quite possibly my favorite episode of the series.

Fairly dissapointed in the severe lack of appreciation of Breaking Bad, personally thought it was the highlight of the year (and by quite a distance).

Other good shows over the past 12 months include; Sons of Anarchy (although didnt feel the third season lived up to the previous two) , Bored to Death (Ted Dansons character is one of the funniest ive seen over the past few years) and also began watching 'Terriers' (1st season just finished) which is pretty decent.

Then theres the usual suspects from earlier years:

Dexter
The Sopranos
The Shield
X-Files (severly over-looked as a suspense/action/drama in its own right, before you go into the whole sci-fi/conspiracy stuff)
The Office (although the last two seasons have been pretty trash with the odd exception)
House M.D (although has been going down-hill for the past year or two)
The Wire

Yeah I like Burn Notice, but I will agree the acting overall is quite poor.

I forgot that Olyphant was the cop in GiSS. Man, that was such a great bad-movie.

I caught the pilot of K-Ville ... looked decent enough. Never had time to watch it, and this was before I had a DVR.
GiSS is one of my guilty favs, something I just love watching for fun.

K-ville is quite good I would recommend YouTubing some eps, I really wish they atleast finished up the first season. So disappointed.

Props to the Jericho mention too, another show I enjoyed that got canned too quickly.

Oh and bring back Whose Line is it Anyway plz. LOVE that show.
