re: TV SHOW discussion thread (NO FUCKING SPOILERS please)

Up to episode 10 of Mad Men now, whilst Don is growing on me I find myself thinking Roger is the best character so far: something about him (oh yeah he's banging Christina Hendricks) just makes him seem like one cool bastard. Draper's very good so far, but I find myself wanting either his turbulent family life or affairs to catch up to him because at the moment he's been in some good scenes but I still find myself knowing as much about the character as his co-workers.

Pete Campbell is one gloriously smug prick as well.

Fucking Pete Campbell man, what an absolute shitstain. Seriously hoping one of these days he follows Don into his office and gets a whiskey bottle broken over his head, absolute bastard.

Loved episode 12 with Don's past finally being explored, now I can really get on the Draper bandwagon, that combined with Roger being MIA since the heart attack means Draper is currently my favourite on the show. Damn if John Slattery isn't the boss though in the Sterling role, also really liking the Harry Crane character.

Pete's the ultimate underhanded slimy creep, who somehow gets to bang ALISON BRIE (another reason to hate him) but those are the reasons I like him lol.

Also I agree that Sterling is the man, Don's my favorite character on the show but there are moments where Roger is so great he surpasses him.

re: TV SHOW discussion thread (NO FUCKING SPOILERS please)

Yeah at the start I enjoyed Draper but was just waiting for them to properly explore the character, like he drinks and smokes and is having affairs...but they didn't let us know if its through depression, not loving his wife, thinking he can get away with it etc. Now that they've touched on his past since episode 10 with his upbringing and service in the War a lot of his traits are better explained and he's a much better character.

Roger's whole demeanour is the best though so far, just the way he talks and acts sends off this charismatic vibe that makes him seem on another level to anyone that isn't Don or Joan....and the fact he's banging Joan just adds to the Sterling SWAG.
