I watched the first few episodes of Twin Peaks towards the end of last year. My buddy really likes it and kept going on about it, so I gave it a shot. I had heard the whole Lost comparisons before, and after a couple episodes it seems highly likely that it was a big influence on the Lost writers.

My friend bought the boxset of it at the weekend so I'll probably borrow it from him once he's finished it all and watch it then. I don't have the patience to download shit like that.

Yeah, Gallagher was awesome in season 3. Looking forward to re-watching it all.

Finished up season 2 again earlier and Callum Keith Rennie's character was also pretty tremendous. I'm in the process of watching the last season of 24 and when he showed up as some crazy Russian mob boss I was pretty stoked.

was anyone else mildly disappointed with Boardwalk Empire. It looked good and the acting was fine but something about it just seemed flat. I think it's more of the scripts not being too great. Michael Shannon really shined in the show though.

I plan on watching more TV shows from Netflix this semester of school as it's easier for me to follow a show then to take a couple hours out to watch a movie especially when working on projects. I plan on getting:
The Wire [the first season rocked and heard that the following seasons are even better]
Mad Men [giving this another try]
Sons of Anarchy
Curt Your Enthusiasm
Breaking Bad Season 3 [when it comes out]
Deadwood [rewatch]
Carnivale [rewatch]

I stopped about halfway through Boardwalk Empire. I'll probably revisit it at some point, but it got flatter and flatter as it went on. Not enough not building bookcases and too much Nucky. I'm a huge fan of Steve Buscemi, but he's not a lead guy.

The stuff in Chicago was pretty damn good though from what I saw. The guy playing Capone owned.

I'm big fan of Twin Peaks and All in the Family btw. Miami Vice was good, NYPD Blue just alright.

I was getting less interested by the middle of the season to the point where I'd have it on but would find myself browsing online then actually paying attention to the show and then a couple episodes later, I stopped.

Another show I gave up on was The Walking Dead. The pilot rocked but the following 2 shows sucked so I stopped.

The Walking Dead will be awhile...summer or fall. I think it's fall though. At any rate it's months and months away.

A Game of Thrones will be on before then. That's all I care about at this point.

Boardwalk Empire was all Michael Pitt and Michael Shannon for me. those dudes were boss.

Justified got a lot better when Boyd Crowder got out of jail. when he was in jail, the show was pretty flat, and i only watched because at least Olyphant was still being pretty awesome. but it didn't really have any direction at all.

but when he got out of jail, that last arc was fantastic. hoping for more of that style in season 2.

My dream for the show is to introduce a character played by Michael Biehn and together with Olyphant can go around kicking ass, mugging for the camera and macking on the ladies. I don't know if the universe is ready for that level of awesome.
