re: TV SHOW discussion thread (NO FUCKING SPOILERS please)

The problem I have with Skylar is that she still hasn't paid a price for "breaking bad". Walt went into the drug business and lost his marriage and right to live with his kids. Jesse pretty much lost everything. You could say that Skylar was lied to by Walt for a long time but that doesn't excuse her cheating on Walt. Walt Jr. rebels against her to an extant but that's still not as bad. She has this whole "holier than thou" attitude which I find infuriating. I loved the Bullet Points episode when Walt threw her sleeping with Beneke right to her face. And still she didn't show any remorse for what she had done. I will like her character a lot more when she actually suffers a bit more for what she has done.

re: TV SHOW discussion thread (NO FUCKING SPOILERS please)

Working my way through Season 3 of Californication, the 'new' Becca is approaching Jaime Murray in Dexter levels of 'GTFO off my screen'. Just such a little whiny bitch, "I fucking hate you too you little shit' should have been her exit. Such an awesome character the first 2 seasons with her smarky character and often being a parent to Hank and I get they had to focus on how he'd cope with her becoming more like her cliche age group but seriously GTFO.

Kathleen Turner looks horrific but her character is immense, the fact she's so hideous and yet coming out with all this sex stuff just makes it incredibly funny. "Collini OUT" after she fakes an orgasm to make Charlie look good when Marcy is banging Rick Springfield may have been the highlight of series 3.

Also actually decided to finally start Breaking Bad and watched the pilot episode last Saturday. Really enjoyed it and can see myself racing through it in no time. Really excited as well to check out Justified, Parks & Recreation, Breaking Bad & Mad Men in the future. Still going to be forever before I fully get into the Wire tbh, just something about it makes me not want to check it out as soon as I do other shows.

Skyler is great for the story. She's pure drama and conflict.

She has suffered. Her husband is a drug dealer who constantly lied to her, destroyed their trust, home, and former lives. Walt is kinda a piece of shit btw. As for her "breaking bad", she just now made her first terrible decision in the last two episodes (fucking another man was bad, but that was mostly empty petty revenge). She's about to take a fall.

Yeah, Skylars comeuppance is about to happen. I actually kinda think the season may end with her going to prison for tax evasion, would be pretty crazy.

Just got to watching season 3 of BB - the twins are bad ass. The scene with Skylar confessing to Walt in episode 3 was just a remarkable piece of acting/writing/direction - managing to be suspenseful even though its just a moment featuring a married couple talking.

re: TV SHOW discussion thread (NO FUCKING SPOILERS please)

I have never watched Sons of Anarchy before guys (yes I know I am a bit deprived), and was wondering if it would spike my interests or not. From the commercials that air it seems like it would be a killer show.

The only two dramas on TV that I like and watch are Breaking Bad and Justified if that speaks about my tastes any.

When I'm sad, I stop being sad and be awesome instead

It is very good, I haven't seen too much of it though.

Watched the first ep of Game Of Throne's last night, it was alright I guess, I'm hoping it gets better though.

Sons of Anarchy has started out so fucking good this season. nice to see them getting back to the roots of what made season 1 and 2 so fantastic.

gonna go through a bunch of the new shows that premiered and see if any of them peak my interest. just downloaded like ten pilot episodes.

cool and smooth, that's how i play.

More Californication talk:

Ironically enough after I said she'd gotten unbearable Becca got a bit better in the last couple of episodes, particularly the exchange where she tells Hank about shagging that lad.

Must say the ending to series 3 was really powerful as well with how his life essentially came crashing down, can't wait to see what season 4 brings.
