re: TV SHOW discussion thread (NO FUCKING SPOILERS please)
Yeah, I'm obviously only on the first season right now, but I'm pretty sure I'll watch the second and third at some point as well.
When Lizzy Caplan shows up I was thinking "Oh hey, that's her from Hot Tub Time Machine. She's fine as Hell. Too bad she'll probably never get naked." And then she gets buck-ass naked and I'm all "WELL, how the fuck about it?"
I had to google her and find out her actual name after that.

just curious to how people rate the show bored to death?

Recently watched both seasons and wouldn't say it's in the same tier as other HBO shows (Sopranos, Wire etc.) but its still a decent comedy and Ted Danson's character is frigging hillarious at times.

re: TV SHOW discussion thread (NO FUCKING SPOILERS please)
Justified is back on February 9th and I can't wait.
I remember a conversation with my old roommate on how many more women will Raylan lay this season as he really plowed through a good number of them in the first season.
We also discussed that if Michael Biehn was on the show, the space time continuum would tear and existence would cease as there would be too much awesomeness for anyone to bear.

re: TV SHOW discussion thread (NO FUCKING SPOILERS please)
kinda random but i got the collectors edition of the sopranos for christmas and i've been rewatching the series. i know it's been said a billion times, but it really is the perfect mix of action/drama/comedy of any show ever. i recently rewatched the wire for a 2nd time and as real and gritty as the wire is, sopranos still trumps it. mainly because of the comedy that lacks quite a bit in the wire.

re: TV SHOW discussion thread (NO FUCKING SPOILERS please)
idk, I think the wire is funny enough in places to not make it overly depressing, thinking mostly herc/carver/bunk as the charatcers that provide the main comic relief. still need to watch sopranoes though and am getting on it. ;D

re: TV SHOW discussion thread (NO FUCKING SPOILERS please)
I've watched about as much as both, and right now I slightly prefer The Wire. I've really come around to The Wire bigtime, because I vastly preferred Sopranos after watching the first season of both. Couple episodes into season 3 of both now and I'd go with The Wire. Isn't by much, though. Really need to finish season 3 of Sopranos... started it a few months ago, took a break after the third or fourth episode and haven't gone back to it yet.
Started on the Deadwood boxset last week. I had already seen the first few episodes and wasn't as in to it as I thought I'd be. Re-watched those episodes and now I'm on episode 7 (or 8... IDK). Wouldn't say I'm enjoying it as much as Oz as far as shows I started watching over Christmas, but I'm enjoying it quite a bit. Al Swearengen is the fuckin' man.
