I don't really like Stringer for some reason, he's maybe my least favorite character on the show aside from Carver whom I dislike for reasons I can't quite explain. Starting to turn around on Bodie though, I don't like his frontin' like a little tough guy in the first season but they've toned it down a lot.

re: TV SHOW discussion thread (NO FUCKING SPOILERS please)

Stringer is hard to like his trying to reform the drug game and his ruthlessness is a bit much at times. Also his disregard for those below him in the chain is sad because he hasn't always been sitting on the throne. Stringer though may be the most intriguing character in the show. Also, obviously what he did to D was unbelievably shitty because he wasn't flipping as well as making changes to himself in jail.

Bodie should grow on you I believe he is intended to represent the working man.

I liked Stringer and had no problems with Carver.

My least favorite character was Kima, I echo Bird's sentiments from the interrogation room.

Just didn't like her, we get it your a lesbian. How edgy, GO FUCK YOURSELF!

Also wasn't crazy about Wallace, liked him in the beginning but as that first season rolls on I just have no sympathy for him. Every bad, stupid decision he could have made he made.

Beatty from the Dock Patrol in the second season I didn't care for either.

re: TV SHOW discussion thread (NO FUCKING SPOILERS please)

The problem with Kima is that she's played by an average actor and the writers kinda just tossed that character aside. She doesn't really get the same treatment as other characters. It's like they said "Shit what do we do with this character?" Maybe she should've died early on. It would not have changed the show at all.

I loved how when Stringer starts messing with the REAL gangsters, he's way in over his head.

Mature Bodie is very likable. His growth over the show was good stuff.

Ironic all this Wire talk going one because I just spent the last 2 weeks watching the entire series. Great show, but don't see it as this iconic masterpiece of television that some have made it out to be.

Two great seasons (3 and 4 with 4 being the best season, and one of the best seasons ever for any TV show), two good seasons (1 and 5), and one bad season (2).

Seriously? No season of the show is bad, even if one could be considered bad it would be 5, and even season 5 was better than most things on tv.

I'm not really getting into season 3 yet, doesn't seem like a lot has happened and i'm a 1/3 of the way through it already. Lester and McNulty getting in that little verbal battle was awesome though.

Season 3 is actually my favorite season as by the end of it, it feels as if everything in the first two seasons were paid off here.

By that final music video montage to me it feels quite epic.

Just be patient Queeny, BTW loving your new avatar; ADAMS/scary Irish dude from SOA/Amy Ryan's Brother-In-Law in Gone Baby Gone, FTW!
