Re: The Book thread.
Anyone read SnowCrash? Kind of a Sci fi-ish book. Very weird so far, I'm only 9 chapters in and it's long. It's about a pizza delivery driver/samurai/hacker

Not to my knowledge. Wikipedia doesn't mention a connection. I haven't read the book myself but I've heard many good things about it from reputable sources.

Re: The Book thread.
Hi guys,
I recently self published my first novella and shortly afterwards, my second novella, through the KDP program by Amazon.
So far, reception has been positive with readers drawing comparisons to Hitch-hikers Guide and Red Dwarf.
The two books are the first two in a series that I hope to develop over the next few months, with the third also well on the way.
Anyway, if you have a spare few hours, check them out, they're called 'Conrad' and 'The Elder Diamond.'
Feel free to leave feedback!
Cheers!

Re: The Book thread.
I recently started reading "Food of the Gods" by Terence McKenna.
Its a really interesting book that is very hard to explain. Basically its about psychedelic mushrooms, and societies interactions with various psychedelic experiences throughout time. I don't really agree with all he says, but hes an interesting guy no doubt.

Free too, when I'm online at a comp I will download them and give you feedback.
I got 49 pages into Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and then got sidetracked with work. That's about a hundred books started and left unfishined.
Does anybody have any tips to not get distracted??
What's everyone else reading?
