Re: The Book thread.

On King, The Stand, Pet Cemetary, Salem's Lot, Carrie, The Shining, Dead Zone, Cujo and the first three Dark Tower novels are all outstanding. Also enjoy his short stories immensely. Cycle of the Werewolf and Eyes of the Dragon are both excellent and rarely come up in King discussion.

I enjoy most of his stuff on some level, but he certainly seems to have had a peak where he was producing his best work (at least in the horror genre) and it was very early in his career. It's pretty much been downhill since. Heartwarming tales with elements of the supernatural just don't cut it for me, I miss being frightened by King.

I love professional-wrestling.

Re: The Book thread.

I guess Steven King is such a fan he incorporated a Jack Reacher name drop in one of his stories, but no still not good enough for you Crofty. Still not good enough.

If you wanna drop names, spell them right... Especially names often seen in print.

I avoid horror flicks largely, but like a lot of King's work. (Didn't care for "Green Mile" or "Atlantis" movies so much.) Anyone read any of his Bachman stuff?

I don't care how many times you posted or edited anything. It was wrong the first time I read the post, & remains so now. Get over your mistakes.

I don't think about whether or not it will. I don't think about that at all: Figure it would help me by acting like he does, not thinking at all. Trying to get as close as I can to that.
