Tampa, Florida. Seriously none of the libraries in the area have any ASOIAF books.

Re: The "Book" thread.
Amazon should have it for a decent price. I got for like half off the bookstore price.
Ohh and i finished the first law trilogy, good books. I went from liking Bayaz to wanting to punch him in the face.

Re: The "Book" thread.
I have the first four books in paperback which is why I'm waiting for ADWD to be released in paperback format.
If I have a series with paperback and hardcovers I get a little anal.

Re: The "Book" thread.
Just a little anal?
Sorry I had too, but I understand how you feel. It kind of bothers me I can't line up some of my books on the shelves because i'll have book 1 @ 2 inj paperback and book 3 in hardcover or whatever. It just looks goofy, maybe I just have mild OCD or something.

Re: The "Book" thread.
I ordered Storm of Swords off Amazon and for some reason it never came. So I had to go down the bookstore and buy it in paperback. It's a weird paperback though, cause it's as big as the hardcover and just as many pages.

Yah, okay I'll read that. The only thing is, the version I have is only 100 pages long, and it's the most tiny writing lol, feels like you've read 50 pages just reading 10.
Will force myself to read it tomorrow to hopefully get me in the mood for reading.
Does anybody listen to Audio books? I mistakenly downloaded Foley's first book in audio format, and really enjoyed listening to it. I went on my girlfriend iPhone and there's a free app with A LOT of the classics, every book I've read considered a classic is on there but, sadly, the voice artists of Dracula and The Raven so far are pretty shit. The guy reading Poe had a speech empediment that meant his R's came out a V's.
Once upon a midnight dveavy, while I pondered weak and weavy,
Over many a quaint and cuvious volume of forgotten lore,
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently vapping, vapping at my chamber door.
`'Tis some visitor,' I muttered, `tapping at my chamber door -
Only this, and nothing more.'
Only 10 or so minutes long but Veally!?
The woman reading Dracula sounds like a robot. She has no emotion in her voice at all.
They're free so wasn't expecting much, but free or not, some quality is required surely.
Anybody have any audiobooks to recommend? My missus once some for her journey to and from work so I'm going to get some for her over the weekend, anyone know any decent ones?

You can copy the text into word document and format it to your liking. Then convert it to pdf through http://www.convertfiles.com/.
I have never used Audio files. I won't be able to concentrate to Audio files for long.

It's actually a real book haha. I used to read a lot of e-books but now with work and whatever else, hardcopies are so much more useful as I dont have the means to read e-books anymore. I'm getting an iPad soon so my book reading will hopefully stupidly multiply.
I think Audio Books would be great for going for long walks. I seen a woman walking down the street the other day reading, literally walking and reading. I was impressed she didnt walk into any lampposts! haha
