I started at the Original novel and read in the order they were published, but feel free to do whatever you like.

Actually, while I really love the first book (read it at least 3 times) I couldn't get any further than God Emperor of Dune. It all started to seem a little ridiculous after a while. Just my opinion though.

I've also watched the 1984 David Lynch film version about a hundred times, but have never gotten around to watching the newer versions.

I love professional-wrestling.

Re: The "Book" thread.

Reading Richelle Meads Georgina Kincaid Series, it kinda strikes me as a book for females, but I'm actually enjoying it quite a bit.

Re: The "Book" thread.

After I get done with the The First Law books I might read the Reacher books. Are they each books you can read without having read anything else in the series? there's like 14 of them.

Re: The "Book" thread.

TKOK, The Enemy & the newest book The Affair are when Reacher was still in the Army, his post Army stuff starts with Killing Floor which was the first book written. Something fairly major happens in KF that I won't spoil but its important enough that it gets brought up time to time especially in the 6th book Without Fail (which ironically was the first I read.) Also helps to have read The Enemy (and now The Affair I suppose) & Without Fail before you read Bad Luck & Trouble (book 11 I think) because its about someone going after Reachers old squadmates and it gives you reference for some of these characters.

Book 3 & 4 happen right after each other, as do books 14 & 15, otherwise they're all pretty much stand alone novels where there are occasional references to past novels. Die Trying (book 2) & Nothing to Lose (book 13?) are both passable as well. Die Trying just gets flat out stupid at the end but Reacher kicks the most ass in that novel.

So yeah that sounds really confusing but it isn't. It would be a good idea to read Killing Floor first unless you want to go with The Enemy (which is really easy to find right now in paperback, also my favorite Reacher novel) or the newest book.

Re: The "Book" thread.

I'm about 60% through the Second first law book. It's better than the first imo.

This cover looks similar to something I've got in my to-read list, I think it's called Feed? Is that the first in the series??
