Exactly how I feel. I mean, even books that are always easily approachable whatever part of the series they are, I can't bring myself to read.

Even the Da Vinci code I went back and read the first few before I read it, no matter how popular it was.

Absolutely, i'll never read a book that's part of a series without reading all the preceeding books first.

Re: The "Book" thread.

Agreed with reading a series from the beginning, although I'm not the same with TV in a way. I like to get a sense of the characters before I start watching a TV series from the beginning.

Anyway, I'm currently rereading Triage by Scott Anderson. Not sure if many here have read it, if any, but I enjoyed it a couple of years back and I generally like to go back to things I've enjoyed in the past, be it music, TV or books.

I like to read a story from the beginning, but it's not a neccesity for me, in tv also.

if you decide to read the the darktower series mate certain other books get tied in.
insomnia
the stand
salems lot
all worth a read!

different seasons has the short story "the body" in it which was later made into the film stand by me which is probably my favourite movie ever (also contains shawshank redemption and apt pupil) so i'd recommend that
