Re: The "Book" thread.

Has anybody ever read any ghost stories?? Being from Liverpool, we have a very successful author here called Tom Slemen, who has brought out about 15 versions of 'Haunted Liverpool' which is so successful because you know where the streets and houses etc are when you read them.

I have just picked up Supernatural Lancashire for the same reason, first chapter is a good read without knowing where they are.

Re: The "Book" thread.

Right now I'm reading Death Troopers by Joe Shreiber.

It's Star Wars plus zombies... come on, I can't pass this up!

Re: The "Book" thread.

I didn't like it all that much, Brek. I just didn't like the format of the book. It's told through different eye witnesses through interviews from a reporter.

It's worth a read I suppose but I expected more out of it really.

Re: The "Book" thread.

Could it make a good movie? Did I tell you they're making a movie about it?

I'll probably pass on reading it.

Re: The "Book" thread.

Any zombie movie has the potential to be a kick ass movie... I hope they don't go with it just being eyewitness interviews though.

Re: The "Book" thread.

I would think they'd play the interviews like flashbacks but that seems like it could get old fast.

I just know it's going to be a movie and Brad Pitt is in it last time I heard.

Regardless, we're fucking watching the movie.

Just finished Shutter Island by Dennis Lehane, for the second time, but the first since watching the film (twice).

Now, American Tabloid by James fucking Ellroy.

Feed is a good book, and the cool thing the second book is due in March I think. Have you read Under the Dome by Stephen king? That book is one of my top favs. You can also try The Passage by Justin Cronin.
