Ths sounds like so much win.

Re: Recommend a book!

I am reading a non-fiction piece on consumer reviews.

After I am done (it is required for work), I am going to reread Christopher Tolkien's 'The War of the Ring' and 'The Return of the Shadow'.

If memory serves me right, the first chapter details how one of his contracts was killed by him tying him up and leaving him in a cave full of rats, because fuck it, he wondered if they'd eat him. They did, as he discovered when watching the tape from the fucking camera he left in there.

It's an amazing read, and numerous times I had to remind myself that it wasn't fiction and had all been verified by law enforcement. Well worth reading, once it gets into the story of the cop trying to bring him down it just seems like a Scorcese film.

Re: Recommend a book!

One of the books I brought up yesterday was about an Assassin who kills people via making it look like natural causes and in the 3rd or 4th book of the series he makes it look like one guy dies from Autoerotic Asphixiation just because the guy (who was a low level CIA agent) was fucking with him. That rat thing sounds just as cool.

He did the same thing to the INXS guy and David Carradine I think.

You should read A Game of Thrones McQueen.

Whats the book called? I may check that out.

If you're interested in the 'natural causes' hit, Kuklinski's later career would be an enjoyable read for you. He ended up walking around with an aerosol spray with just enough cyanide in it to make the death look like a heart attack.

Merged with "The Book Thread"

No need for two threads about books.

Its one of the Barry Eisler's John Rain books. I believe it was in the 3rd book Rain Storm, could have been the 4th though.
