I would actually really like to read that. Is it a good book? I know ya say he has an interesting life, but is it worth the read?

I've just started the Chuck Hogan novel that the new movie 'The Town' is based on, I wanted to read Gone Baby Gone but I heard so many good things about the movie I had to see it.

Has anybody read either A Prince Of Thieves (The Town), or Gone Baby Gone?

Re: Recommend a book!

Yeah the word is thats been in production for years now. Casting Reacher would be pretty tough, since he is much bigger than pretty much every halfway decent actor. I'd like to see Killing Floor, Echo Burning & The Hard Way possibly get adapted too if One Shot ever gets made.

Kinda funny Child doesn't want to be involved with the script seeing as he was in Television before he started writing novels. I think a new book is coming out in a few weeks too. Need to check.

Re: Recommend a book!

Yeah, that'd be Worth Dying For; came out the other week over here but I've not gotten around to getting it yet. Have a feeling that the woman will be getting it for me though, she's cool like that. Comes out on the 19th of this month in the U.S.

Hopefully they'll find someone good who is willing to get into the Reacher character seriously and would bulk up in order to match up to how he is presumed to look. It'd probably be fairly easy to piss around with camera angles to make someone look tall, just need to work on the build so it matches up.

Re: Recommend a book!

Damn you guys getting book first haha. I suppose you have a point about the height, that kid who played Colossus in X-Men 2 & 3 looked to be about the right size but I have no idea if he can actually act and he is a little young anyways. Plus no one would know who he is.

Found out a few weeks ago another one of my favorite book series Barry Eisler's John Rain novel Hard Rain was adapted into a direct to DVD movie in Japan and fucking Gary Oldman was in it. Might have to look that up.

Re: Recommend a book!

They need an Ed Norton American History X type of casting, as I'd never have that guy down as someone capable of pulling that off - well, not at the time anyway. Here's hoping they don't just give the role to Vinnie Jones, lol.

Seeing as he's English, I'd hope the fucker would release his books here first haha. Although he is living over the pond these days, smart man.

Oh, and anything with Oldman in tends to be fucking great. Hope your film adaptation lives up to the book's standards lol.

Re: Recommend a book!

It was Rain Fall, not Hard Rain that was the second book. looked it up on IMDB and this is the first thing I read after I saw its sitting at a whopping 4.8 rating was this.

If you're a fan of the Barry Eisler Rain novels, do yourself a favor and don't watch this. This movie is everything the novels are not: boring, full of plot holes, seriously lame fight scenes and a story line that makes little or no sense.
What a shame.
