Really? The worst? You could possibly the only person in the world to think that.

It is a long read however so I guess some people might find it to drag at some points.

Very strong short story - in the same collection as Shawshank Redemption - would definitely reccomend them both.

Incidentially, I got "It" at a bargain price from a charity shop today so interesting to hear contrasting opinions on the novel. I have seen the tv film which certainly has its moments though certainly has a lot of crap too.

I read George Martin novels. A Storm of Swords can slay giants in one fell blow. The Stand isn't short by any means either. Long has nothing to do with it. I like most of what goes on in IT. I like it a lot actually. The terrible, atrocious ending is what kills IT dead for me. The ending is just freaking retarded, total letdown after such a spellbinding read. That's my not so humble opinion though. In fact, IT is really what turned me off of Stephen King novels that weren't The Dark Tower. The Dark Tower was a let down too.

Re: The "Book" thread.

A Clockwork Orange rules as both a book and a film.

I actually never saw the movie. But I have heard great things. Though the book sounds more graphic and much more sadistic. Especially when he saw those two devotchkas in the record store.

Which ending did you prefer? Movie or Book?
