Just finished the Remember Me series by Christopher Pike. I really enjoyed the first one but the second and third disappointed me. Has anybody also read them?

Yeah I think I own 3 or 4 of them. I know one I borrowed to a guy at work and never got it back.

After being forced to watch the abomination that is the movie version of The Beach recently, can anyone say they've seen a movie that actually surpasses the book?

I think The Shining is somewhat comparable even if it differs a great deal from the book. I still like the book better though. The Shining on it's own though is an impressive film.

The worst book to movie translation I've ever seen is probably Legends of the Fall.
