Both are great. Jericho's first book is hilarious. I don't know why but it had me laughing constantly. Second one had more WWE stuff so its really enjoyable as well.

Back to the bookstore or library today...

I need to find something quick. Anybody with a recent strong suggestion?
Post your list, if you keep one, so I know what sort of stuff you usually go for and what you've already read recently.

Off the top of my head since I know you like Dresden, try Jacqueline Carey's newest book, it's an urban fantasy procedural and it's actually really good. It's called something like Dark Currents I think? Check it out.

Oh, I'm glad to hear Dark Currents is good! It looked super cheesy, but I loved the Kushiel series. The last three slid off, though.

Ainsi sera, groigne qui groigne.

Re: The Book thread.

Imriel was a whining emo, that's why.

Dark Currents was nice because it was the opposite of her usual softcore porn, and it was also different from the typical "zomg vampire sex" urban fantasy procedurals that have glutted the market lately. Check it out.

I have always wanted to compile a list of books and authors I have read, but have never gotten around to it. I suspect it will take me a while, and I am trying to remember all the them.
I pretty much go for fiction, with preferences for sci-fi, fantasy and urban fantasy. If you can suggest a zombie book or series I have not read, it would be much appreciated. I will attempt to get a list together soon.

I looked it up and it will take a while to get my hands on one. Will check it out when I get a chance. But the other books by that author - I am not so sure.

Went to my library and decided on the Nathaniel Cade series by Christohper Farnsworth. All three books were there. It's killing me right now that I got a copy of John C. Wright's "The Hermetic Millenium" but I cannot find a copy of "Count to a Trillion" anywhere near me. I may have to order a copy from Amazon.

Re: The Book thread.

I started keeping track in 2011 when I realized there was no point to going back and trying to figure it out that way. I just use a Notepad file, tbh. On another forum, we also keep track in a thread, but that's another thing. Just start now, for 2013. Better than nothing.

Yeah, everything else Jacqueline Carey is total softcore porn. This one is nothing like that, it was refreshing. If you want, I can email you a copy of the ebook. PM me, otherwise I'll forget, I have a 2 second attention span.

Yeah, yeah. I'll get started tonight. But you can't stop me from looking back to figure out which books I have read in my lifetime. I can't even stop myself from trying.

Thanks anyway. I don't have an ereader of any kind. Go ahead and call me old fashioned, but I prefer to have an actual book with paper pages in my hands. That and I have an unusual and unreasonable distrust of technology. It took me until a couple years ago to buy an mp3 player, and a few months ago to buy a (used) iPod. I still don't have a smartphone, and have no intention of getting one.

Look at me, the old fart.

Re: The Book thread.

I still don't have an iPod, and I don't have a smartphone either. I bought a Kindle two years ago because my eyes got so bad I decided to try e-readers since you can make the print super big, and it was totally worth it. It ended up being super cost-effective as well since I read so damn much.

Anyways, you can download free e-reader software for your computer, so if you get bored enough, let me know.

Finished One Shot, is it possible to have a man crush on a Fictional Character? Cause I think I do with Reacher.

Re: The Book thread.

YES TKOK YES! Only 16 more books for you to read now.

I actually prefer Greg Rucka's Atticus Kodiak character though, and Barry Eisler's "Dox" from his John Rain novels. Too bad Rucka's book are pretty hard to find outside of Amazon. hes a pretty good writer.
