Under the Dome was kind of a flop for me. I feel like he revisited a lot of territory from The Stand. I enjoyed it, but it was 900 lbs of book and I felt like I'd already met most of the characters before.

I loved Duma Key and Lisey's Story. They're both very surreal and haunting, very supernatural but about very real-feeling people.

All the short story collections have been reasonably good. I liked Everything's Eventual and Just After Sunset better than Full Dark, No Stars.

"N" from Just After Sunset gave me the shivers.

Jack Kerouac or Cormac McArthur? Because I read McArthur's one and, well... you can't call it the drizzling shits because it's got that ~critical acclaim, but let's just say I would rather have never read the thing at all. It's one of those where you wait for it to get awesome and it never does.

I'm going backwards with the whole series since I started reading the fifth book and then moved on the 4th.

Now I'm searching to buy the third

Isn't it Cormac Mccarthy or have I been wrong thinking that? to be honest I think I just want to read it to see what I get out of it. I've seen the film and the book interested me. It's one you can pick up for next to nothing as well.

Yeah its McCarthy. and other than his confusing lack of punctuation what i've read of his is pretty good.

it's a great book with a good ending (love king but some of his endings really let him down)im sure his son helped re-write the ending though so that could explain a few things

under the dome would have been quite high up on my all time faveourite books list if it wasn't for the terrible ending, that said i can't for the tv show.
