Gonna try to watch it tomorrow with a couple of friends if possible, if not I will check it on Friday. I have my hopes high, because I enjoyed the first one a lot.

Well damn. My expectations of this movie, in my view, were met. I absolutely loved it much like I did the first.

Watched it last night, thought it was outstanding personally, the movie had the lot imo it was funny tons of action scene, dramtic moments eveything you could want in a movie.

On a side note I thought the first Transformers movie 2 years ago was pretty good, but this one tops it if you were to ask me so it definitely worth seeing it. God knows how Michael Bay will top Trasformer 2 with a 3rd movie though.

I wouldn't take any opinion from that website. Everyone who reviews on there seem like a bunch of miserable bastards. Too many films with low ratings. Try IMDB, they are much better. Anyway I have now seen this film and I was engrossed by it completely. I couldn't take my eyes off the screen. Theres more comedy in this aswell

The tomatometer is based off reviews by critics who each write for a publication/website, whereas IMDB ratings are purely influenced for the most part by idiots who know nothing about film. Reviews posted on rottentomatoes are taken from where the review wasn't originally posted, they aren't written for rotten tomatoes as you seem to imply. It is not a good idea to take either RT or IMDB as gospel, you should ideally form your own opinion and try only to use such sites as a guide, and in RT is much better in that department. The tomatometer is based off reviews written by people that actually know something about film, and have written a review generally with reasoning to back up their views. IMDB's ratings system is not based off reviews, but merely by the rating that users give it, there is no moderation of it, thus people will give a film a 10/10 or 1/10 without any explanation, allowing them to maintain their irrational prejudices and bias.

I've heard some pretty bad things about this movie.

Probably won't see it, tbh. I'm not one for a special effects wankfest, so I doubt this movie will appeal to me at all.

Everything you said is true which is why I go off of the IMDB rating. Actual movie critics dig way too deep into reviewing a film and it seems like they just pick them apart so much that they can't enjoy a film anymore. I grant you that there are quite a few idiots on IMDB who just give 1* for the worst things but in general the people on there are just like me and you. Enjoy a good movie without having to pick out every little detail. A quick example is the new Transformers film. RT has a 30% rotten rating and IMDB gives it a 7.8/10. All that says to me is that people who just want to relax and see the movie will enjoy it where as if you are a movie critic you're practically looking for the bad bits in films
