Re: Rate & Mini-Summarize the Last Movie You Saw

Lady Snowblood (1973)

After a couple get terrorized by a band of criminals, the mother whose in prison and only reason to live is revenge, vows to get pregnant and have her child complete her family's vengeance.

Based on a 70's Manga comic and a HUGE influence on Kill Bill, even duly noted by Tarantino himself. Yuki who is Lady Snowblood is just all kinds of badass, cutting off limbs, heads, even torsos lol. All in hopes of fulfilling her mothers dying wish to kill the 4 who destroyed their family. The blood spray seen in Kill Bill came from this movie, really just pours out like no ones business. A little cartoonish looking but I got a kick out of it. The Music is really great stuff as well, and although it's very violent, there's a quiet elegance and beauty to the carnage going on. The plot is very engaging throughout featuring some rather surprising twist and an perfect climax to a great revenge film. Kill Bill fans or any fan of Samurai movies really would love this.

9/10

Re: Rate & Mini-Summarize the Last Movie You Saw

Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull- the fourth installment sees the return of Indy, where he must stop Soviets from retrieving crystal skulls. Starring Harrison Ford (Star Wars), Cate Blanchett (Elizabeth: The Golden Age), and Shia LaBeouf (Transformers). This film is a great action film, and a great addition to a great film series. Harrison Ford does great, and its as if we haven't missed a beat with Indiana Jones. If you are going to watch a film this weekend, then please check this film out.

8/10

Harold And Kumar 2

I loved it tbh, the crude humor is awesome. Not quite as good as the first but still worthy of praise. 7.5/10

Gentlemen, if you lose today you will continue to be the best in the world but if you win today you will be eternal.

I would rate it as the second best after the Raiders of the Lost Ark. I felt that it was that good.

damn, I might have to see that...I had my doubts with Ford being so old now that he could pull of Indy again.

Re: Rate & Mini-Summarize the Last Movie You Saw

Indiana Jones & The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

I'm not going to delve into the plot too much, as it would give too much away. I do know that I really enjoyed it quite a bit. Having grown up watching Indiana Jones as a kid, I have a special place in my heart for it even more.

Despite being sixty-five years of age, I must admit that Harrison Ford pulled it off quite convincingly. To anyone thinking that will factor in whether or not this movie will suck, well it definitely isn't much of an issue. Ford has a face that ages well, so with his hat and whip, he looks the same as he always did.

This movie has received a bunch of heat, but I'd recommend it to anyone that loved the other Indiana Jones movies. It's not dark like Temple of Doom, has a lot of fast paced chase scenes, good humor and a good mix of everything.

There are certain parts of this movie that are definitely out of place. I'd say specifically what, but I don't want to spoil anything. Lets just say you'll see for yourself when you watch it.

All in all, I enjoyed it. 7 out of 10 for me.

Am I the only one that thinks Temple Of Doom is a great movie.
