Alien vs. Predator: Requiem:

Let me be the first to say, "why the fuck is this movie so damn dark?!". I couldn't for the most part see a damn thing.

Film starts off where the last AVP left off and that same ship crash lands on a small town in the middle of nowhere. The movie had some decent action scenes and they actually gave this movie a "R" rating. Even the "R" rating couldn't save this, the acting and the dialog was god-awful. The only saving grace with this movie is that some of the action scenes were alright.

5.0/10

Ironman:

Finally got to see this movie over the weekend and it was refreshing to see after having to watch the new AVP movie. Everybody already knows what this movies about and if you haven't seen it yet Id advise you too.

The films star Robert Downy Jr. is so great in this, he almost carries this thing by himself. There's plenty of shit that goes "BOOM!" and some intense action sequences. There's even some laugh out loud moments with a "helper robot". The whole time I was in the theater I was glued to the screen and not one part was dull or boring just a beautiful piece of art. For a superhero movie this is up there as one of the best and if anybody wants to see a blockbuster this summer make damn sure it's Ironman!

9.5/10

Definitely agree, along with the overly dark scenes you had to deal with the annoying as fuck shaking of the camera during action sequences. Those 2 in combo made it almost impossible to know what the hell was going on.

Ong-Bak (2003)

After a priceless statue said to bring forth rain gets stolen, Ting, a young martial artist is sent on a quest to retrieve it before drought destroys the village.

First of all don't go into this movie expecting great acting or solid storytelling because to be honest both are very weak. Tony Jaa is incredible but his character was rather bland when not in combat. As for the action/fight scenes, very slick and incredibly cool stuff. The only thing I disliked about them was the lack of any real tough opponents (besides 1 really) and they had these annoying replays for some reason after seemingly ever sick trick Jaa did. Besides that, Ong-Bak delivers what it's supposed to, great entertaining martial arts action. The fight scenes alone are worth the watch.

7.5/10

Iron Man

Loved it tbh, mainly becuase Stark was such an admirable character with a great personality. Great film, worthy of a 8/10

The Eye. (The one with Jessica Alba).

Never been a terror fan, and this did have some horrid moments when you some shit was gonna pop out and make you jump like a girl; that happened several times sadly.

The plot was rather interesting, and the shadow things were pretty cool.

I didn't enjoy the character progression at all and the ending was pretty terrible.

Jessica Alba gives it a few points tho, i'd give it a 6/10.

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian- the four siblings from the first film, return to Narnia to realize that a threat is present. They meet Prince Caspian who must overthrow his people to save Narnia. I think this film was pretty good, it was a solid sequel to an entertaining first film. It was not as good as the first, butt hats the case with most sequels anyways. If you saw the first one you should definetely watch this one.

Marebito (2004)

A man obsessed with terror and fear investigates an urban legend about the underworld. As he goes into the depths of the Toyko subway, he finds a naked and chained up Woman.

Directed by Takashi Shimizu the maker of the Grudge films. Marebito isn't your usual cookie cutter Asian horror. Very strange and bizarre throughout. The scares aren't that effective besides his trip into the underground subway which was nicely done, but there is an overall creepy atmosphere which sets the mood perfectly. You never really know what's real or not, it's skewed to the point where you can't tell the difference. The director leaves it up to the viewer to come to their own conclusion which I liked but some others might not. This is very reminiscent of H.p Lovecraft's type of story and it's done better than almost any other actual Lovecraft inspired movie. Scores big for originality in a dying genre where everyone copies each others ideas. Good watch if you like Lovecraft, or slow moving horror films like Audition.

8/10

^^^^^^ I wasn't aware that there were so many cookie cutter Asian Horror movies, more often than not I have to give most a second viewing because I need to catch up to the plot. But I digress -

House of the Dead (2003) - Well luckily I caught it on the Sci-Fi channel this morning and didn't have to waste any money. Oh Uwe Bowl, why do you direct such terrible flicks. This movie is just bad from top to bottom, bad acting, bad script, bad pacing, and as far as the camera work goes, it's all about cheesey 360 shots around the characters. What's the plot of the movie you ask? Bunch of kids go to an island to party and find zombies instead, within the hour and a half all the kids become expert marksmen and become so close that they'd all die for eachother, and pretty much do. This one gets -5 out of 10, yes negative points. Because I deserve something for sitting through it.

30 Days of Night - However I did watch a good film last night, this one. I saw it in theatres and thought it was alright and still sort of feel the same after re-watching it. Josh Hartnett did far better than I expected and Ben Foster was fantastic as "The Stranger", had I not stayed for the credits I wouldn't of known that the same man who played Angel (X3) was The Stranger who was so delightfully insane. I wouldn't call the film scary though, all the scares are mostly predictable and only work because of the use of music, the volume literally goes from 0 to 50 in an instant to get you to jump whether you're scared or not. The Vampires were really good and the atmosphere of the small town was great. Overall a pretty alright movie, 7 out of 10.

Don't get me wrong no matter how unoriginal they are I love them all. If you've seen as many as I have you can really tell how they "borrow" each others ideas, right down to the plot and the same jump scares.

The Original Mortal Kombat

The plot revolves around a tournament that pits evil against good. The sinister team, led by the vile sorcerer Shang Tsung, includes Sub-Zero,Scorpion,Reptile, and the Goro. The good guys are led by Lord Rayden, who uses electricity as a weapon. His pupils include martial arts expert Liu Kang, vain movie star and karate expert Johnny Cage, and Sonya Blade.Adding to the tension is the fact that whichever team wins 10 Kombat tournaments in a row will rule the Earth. And Shang Tsung's demonic team has won the last nine.

This movie is Awesome,I always liked the original,it had a Awesome theme, and badass Characters.
