The Ruins- a film about a group of tourists in Mexico who stumble upon a place where things take a turn for the worse. Now I would say what happens but it would kind of give it away. This film stars Jena Malone (Into the Wild) and Jonathan Tucker (In The Valley of Elah). Probably not the best acting, but I think its a pretty good horror film. I really enjoyed this film and liked the whole concept of something in the ruins that goes after them. Its a good horror film, I will wait to see Prom Night to see which is the better horror film of the month.
Leatherheads- A film about college football in the 1920's. Starring the oscar nominated George Clooney (Michael Clayton), and Rene Zelwegger (Bee Movie). in I saw a trailer for this film a while back, and thought the film looked quite boring. But I had a feeling that Geore Clooney could have saved this film. After seeing this film I must say, Clooney did a good job in his role, but the film was not as good as it should have been. Some good parts, but really not strong enough. You would probably want to avoid watching this film.
Starring Pierce Bronson, Gerard Butler and Maria Bello
Movie is about Bronson taking Butler and Bello and putting them through so much stuff, making them now how it feels to really appreciate life.
I'm not really a fan of Butler unless he's in a Toga battling other people, Bronson is sometimes good and never heard of Bello. But this movie was Great all three actors make this film enjoyable. Highly Reccomend watching this, i passed it so many times at the Rental Shop I'm actually sorry I hadn't picked it up earlier. Go and Watch this movie
A man who believes he's the real Elvis,(Bruce Campbell) now resides in an East Texas rest home. Along with his friend who believes he's Jfk, (Ossie Davies) and has been "Dyed" by the government (he's black lol) face off against an ancient Mummy whose feeding on the unsuspecting residents.
As ridiculous as the summary sounds, at the heart of this movie is a very serious tone about growing old and being cast aside by the world, where you cling to anything to keep you going. Half Comedy, Half Horror, and half Drama, BHT is just incredibly original and imaginative. Bruce is great of course as is Ossie Davies. For a low budget film the effects are pretty good and especially the make-up job of the Old Elvis. The comical parts are a little iffy but still plenty of laughs to go around and some awesome one liners by the King. Great soundtrack as well. If you're a fan of Elvis or Bruce you'll probably find some enjoyment in Bubba Ho-tep.
Definetly not the worst movie I have seen but definetly not the best, good movie for kids with the usual doctor suess kind of thing with a good morale at the end. Also has a comedy that even older people can laugh at and overall is a quite enjoyable movie.
