Shoot 'Em up (2007)

A man stumbles upon an conspiracy involving the gun lobby that reaches the highest levels of government. He fights to keep the baby that they're after alive.

Plot sounds serious, but this movie is just over the top ridiculousness that really toes the line between being a parody of action movie. Some of the stuff in here is so unbelievable that even Michael Bay would blush. BUT, it's so damn entertaining, just an adrenaline rush from beginning to end. Really funny throughout with some very memorable albeit cheesy one-liners such as this one scene, where Owen, and Belluci are having sex, baddies run in the room, he kills them, never even stopping from doing her, and says "Now that's what I call shooting your load." That's just a little insight to what this movie is like. Great stuff. Christian Cage also makes a small appearance as the senator's guard in case you want to know. Don't take it seriously and you'll love it.

I saw this movie a little while back, and while it's a totally random movie, I found it to be entertaining. The scene your talking about is awesome tbh.

Back to the Future (Part II) = My least favorite of the whole trilogy, yet, a very entertaining movie.

I'd have to say it was my least favorite because of the "usage" of many clips from the first movie.

But, from a plot standpoint, I can you go wrong with the continuation of a such a story.

The opening of the movie and the "voyage" through the future was quite the "dreaming-of-a-better-tomorrow" moment for me, until I saw how they ate.

I'm in a bit of a lost for word in trying to quickly rate this movie. The story follows the ending from the last one, after his travel through time, Marty must now go to the future to straighten things out there, but, a whole bunch of actions take place that seem to always change the time continuum and it's almost a race through and against time to try and fix everything that goes wrong for Marty's lives.

Drillbit Taylor- a film about three high school kids who hire a man to protect them from school bullies. The film is pretty good, there are some good laughs in this film, as stated earlier it isn't the best but it is entertaining for what it is. I think everyone looking for a good time, should watch this film.

Layer Cake (2004)

A cocaine middleman (Daniel Craig) is planning on an early retirement but soon realizes that leaving the Biz is a lot harder than he could imagine.

From the producer of Snatch and Lock Stock and two smoking barrels, Matthew Vaughn. Layer Cake in an evolving and intricate plot full of many twist and turns along the way. Daniel Craig (Casino Royale)is really great in this. It's easy to see why he was chosen the be the new 007. The only real downside was that the story gets a little confusing at times. If you don't pay attention, you could easily get lost. That minor flaw aside LC is a very stylishly shot film, helped by a great script. A very good British Gangster movie worth checking out.

8.5/10

Cello (2005)

A Cello teacher is haunted by memories of a past accident involving her friend and rival. As strange things begin happening all around her, she struggles to survive and keep her sanity.

Firstly Cello is a very well made movie with some descent scares and a good little ghost story. The problem is that it's not very original. If you've seen any Ju-on or Ringu or pretty much 90% of Asian horrors you'll realize they follow the same formula. Even a scene or 2 is very identical to Ju-on. It did have rather good acting and make-up/special effects, and the story is interesting (even if a little confusing) to keep your attention throughout. Overall I found it entertaining with a few really good jump scares and an effective creepy atmosphere.

Flawless- a film set in Los Angeles during th 1960's about a crime involving diamonds. Starring Michael Caine, and Demi Moore. I have never even heard of this film until today to be honest, and I was quite surprised to hear it was getting a theatrical release tomorrow, because I have not seen much marketing for it. There is some nice solid acting by Caine, and Moore does pretty good in her role. This could quite possibly be the best movie this week, seeing as Superhero Movie drops on the same day. Not the best I have seen, but if you were planning on watching it, you probably won't be let down.

Antibodies (2005)

Serial Killer Gabriel Engel gets arrested in a daring police raid. After initially co-operating, he refuses to talk to anyone but a local cop whose looking for closure in the case of a brutally murdered young girl in his own town.

AB is a pretty good movie in the Vein of Silence of the Lambs or Seven but no where near their quality. It does a descent job of keeping the viewer guessing all the way till the end. (which sucked btw) And the actor playing the Serial Killer was very convincing. Also it's very nicely shot with some beautiful scenes of the German countryside. If you liked SOTL you'll find some enjoyment in this, especially the interaction between the cop and murderer. There are some grim and disturbing scenes in this so be warned. Overall average to good movie.
