Re: Rate & Mini-Summarize the Last Movie You Saw
Sucker Punch
This a movie that should/could have been better. The set pieces for the most part are great, although the last one drags a bit, but they didnt really have anything to do with the story. Still entertaining. The character are one dimensional, for the most part.
The story actually had a lot of potential, but not enough time was given to it. But a good waste of two hours.
Also slow-motion overkill

Dragonball Z: Broly The Legedary Super Saiyan
My favourite dragonball z movie, Broly dominates Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Trunks and Piccolo, It tells the background detail from him being feeble at first and then a monster when he turns super saiyan. It's a shame that he dominates the protagonists for a long time and then it ends in 5 mins.

Kung Fu Panda 2
- Cool little film - laughed a lot throughout and liked its general creativity.

Dark City:
Loved it, definitely Proyas best movie, vastly superior to 'The Crow'. The special effects were mind blowing, the story unique and the acting great (even kiefer sutherland).
After watching this gives me some hope that Proyas cant direct a satisfying version of Paradise Lost.

Paths of Glory
The most powerful anti-war statement I've seen on film. An amazing picture about the politics rife with war and the corruption at the heart of the people in charge. Right up there with Kubrick's best.

Re: Rate & Mini-Summarize the Last Movie You Saw
George of the Jungle (1997) - 6/10.
Looking through the old VHS box and found this. Was one of my childhood favourites so i'd thought i'd stick it on and it brought back many a memories.
Although the film itself has pretty poor acting and a rather lame script, it was quite funny, despite its cheesyness and a genuinely feel-good film. Won't recommend anyone over the age of 10 if you've not seen it before.
and,
The Public Enemy (1931) - 9/10.
A somewhat short film, at around 1 hour 20 minutes (I think), although it packs a punch and tells a greeat rise and fall story in that time. It's very gripping and certainly doesn't lose your attention, albeit looking dated. Cagney was fantastic in this. The chemistry between Cagney and Woods is good, as is the character relationship between the two (best friends growing up in crime, always being together through thick and thin kind of thing). Awesome movie and deserves the cred it gets.

Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon
It was a long movie, great action sequences, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is fine, but i can't stop comparing her lips to Angelina Jolie. It has a nice storyline, Music used in the film was good to describe the mood of the scene, the soundtrack is similar with inception with the 'boom' sound that creates tension, special effects were awesome and the cars are shiny. Definitely better than the second, have to watch the first again to compare it.

Star Trek
When i first saw this I was dissapointed. but I decided to give it a second chance and I have to say I was wrong, it's a pretty entertaining movie. I'm not much of a Star Trtek fan, but this is worth a watch.

Beauty and The Beast.
Hadn't watched this in a while, and since I watched The Lion King I thought i'd give another Disney classic a watch. It's a good movie that really takes off after Belle and the Beast start to fall in love.

Re: Rate & Mini-Summarize the Last Movie You Saw
I'm having a Batman movie marathon for the weekend.
Batman & Robin
I didn't really liked this one, it had a cheesy storyline with unfunny one liners and bad voice acting from the female actresses. Even though it had George Clooney, Michael Caine and Arnold Schwartzenegger it was still sort of bad. The movie went for 2 and a half hours.
4/10
On the other hand
Batman (1989)
The batman with Jack Nicholson as the Joker, what a character, he played it to perfection. This movie is way better than Batman and Robin and had great action sequences and also some surprises. The movie went for 2 and a half hours.
8/10
