Meet the Spartans- I never expect much from spoof films, I thought this would be just like Epic Movie, maybe worse. This movie was truly terrible beginning to end. The comedy was lame, it felt as if a teenager wrote all the dialogues. The acting was bad, and it just dragged on in a very boring way. I suggest you do not watch this film.

Gone baby gone

Staring Casey Affleck and actually written/directed by his big brother Ben Affleck, this movie is about a 4 year old little girl who goes missing and the 2 private investigators hired to find her. This was a very enthralling movie and you'll find your self rooting for the good guys, it may have a little too many twists for some, but I thought they were very surprising and well done. Ultimately it's a morality tale about what's morally right and what's best for the child. Casey Affleck is the star of this film and imo is a much better actor than his brother already. Also a great performances by Ed Harris and Morgan Freeman as always. Check this one out if you enjoyed the movie Mystic River.

Ace Ventura: Pet Detective
Being a fan of Jim Carrey, this movie is generally in rotation alot. Granted the Humor isnt going to liked by everyone, but hey it my opinion isnt it? The movie, for those of you still living under rocks, follows Ace Ventura (Jim Carrey), a pet detective, hired by the Miami Dolphins football team to find there missing mascot, A bottlenosed dolphin. Along the way, we are introduced to Police Captain, Lois Einhorn, who seems to be hiding more then we can see (yes, that was a pun, shoot me if you must). Anyway, lot of slapstick comedy with some raunchy humor so its not for everyone, but its one of my favorites.

How She Move- two bad films released on the same day (Meet the Spartans is the other bad film). This film had bad acting, boring dancing, and I just could not be kept entertained long enough. I liked You Got Served, but hated Stomp the Yard, and I characterize this film with Stomp the Yard. In my opinion, you should not view this film.

Trade

Starring: Kevin Cline

Movie is about Kids getting abducted(sp?) all over the world, this one is paticularly in Mexico. It follows a kid named Jorge on search for his sister. While he's on search in hides in Clines car to get to America, Cline finds him and helps him search for his Sister.

I really enjoyed this film the acting is done really well. The movie is based on true events which is disturbing to know that stuff like this actually happens

Hard Boiled - Hong Kong action film about criminals dealing with the police and each other after a raid leaves one detective's partner dead and the mobsters killing each other. The film stars Chow Yun-Fat and is directed by John Woo. This is one of the best action pictures ever made and Chow and Woo at their finest.

2001: A Space Odyssey- I was inspired to watch this film because a clip from it was shown on the History Channel on a program I was watching last Sunday. The program was about causes of the end of the world (robots and technology was one of them for some reason). So I checked out this film today. It is a film by Stanley Kubrick, and I was hoping for it to be good. I was a big fan of Full Metal Jacket, The Shining, and A Clockwork Orange so I expected a lot from this 1968 presentation from Kubrick. First off, I gotta say its a good film for its time, I mean some of the film effects and choices of music were excellent. The music is very creepy at times. The whole part where HAL takes control and refuses to shut down is just classic, and you just have to witness it. The film is deigned to confuse, I found myself a little lost through some parts of it, but if I read the book that would probably clear it all. That part where the guy is speeding through all the bright lights has to be one of the best in film history. Overall, the film is very different from anything I have seen before. I do have to warn you though, the film is damn near three hours long, and it is a very slow moving film. You have to be paying attention, to understand it well.

I would give it an 8, but the fact that it was a little draggy and long, earns it a 7. But by all means, watch this film, because it truly is something different from the norm. If you watched it you would probably give it a higher rating than I did.

The assassination of Jesse James by the coward Robert Ford

Probably one of the longest and dumbest titles ever (giving away the ending in a title is never good is it??), but I had read some good reviews about it so I gave it a shot. The story is about Robert Ford who idolized the outlaw Jesse James to the point of obsession and murderous envy. Great performances by Casey Affleck and Brad Pitt but this movie was way too dull to keep my attention for the 2 1/2 hour runtime, maybe because I'm not necessarily a fan of westerns or a follower of Jesse James it hurt my appreciation of the intimate character study which is what this movie focused on but whatever I base movies on if I was entertained and this never really did. You won't be seeing any shootouts or high paced action so don't expect any of that. I must say though that the directing, acting, and screenplay are all well done, and it also features some beautiful cinematography, it's a solidly made film, but the story itself just bored me to tears. I don't mind long movies if they keep your interest the whole time, but I was just waiting for this to finish and when the end came I was just glad it was over.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters for DVD:

I've got to say, its taken me awhile to finally see this movie but I finally have. I cant say how many brain cells I lost during this entire hour and half but it was all worth it. Im a casual ATHF watcher, this is kind of like an extended episode which is all you would really want in something like this. This film touched me in ways only Meatwad, Shake and Frylock can. If you enjoy even a little Aqua Teen Hunger Force then you'll eat this movie up. I've got to say the opening credits made me laugh out loud and not want to stop.

was the opening credits with the Hot Dog, Drink, Popcorn singing. Yeah that was hilarious, and then they had that Heavy Metal rocking right after it. Good stuff.
