Thelma and Louise

This is a good girls turned outlaws movie and I absolutely love it. And as a bonus it has a very hot and young Brad Pitt.

Troy

I am sort of on the fence about how to rate this movie. While the action is great and it is visually stunning, at times there does not seem to be much substance to the story. It is a two and a half hour movie, but certain elements seem sort of rushed. It felt like you did not really get to know the characters as individuals really. Even the main characters are just sort of unknown regarding their personalities and whatnot. Another thing is the city of Troy was not explored enough really. It just sort of felt like yeah, you knew it was a city and it had a ruler, but that was it. You did not get a real feel of the characters or the setting. The film did not really explore those elements nearly enough. As previously stated, while visually it is a great movie, it just seems like there is not enough substance to the story and the characters.

Overall Rating: 7/10

Directed by mumblecore stalwarts Jay and Mark Duplass, Cyrus stars John C. Reilly as John, a middle-aged lonely divorced guy who, as the film opens, gets dragged to a party by his remarried ex-wife (Catherine Keener) -- who remains his best friend. After a few clumsy, drunken passes at a variety of women, John encounters Molly (Marisa Tomei), an attractive single-mom who finds John's social awkwardness appealing. They hit it off, and quickly begin a tender new relationship. Problems soon arise in the form of Cyrus (Jonah Hill), Molly's twentysomething son, who has an off-puttingly close relationship to his mom. Soon the jealous Cyrus sets about trying to break them up, and John must figure out how to deal with this unhinged and unexpected rival.

I just really feel in love with this movie. Each actor, in their own way brings out the best in themselves here. Most surprisingly would be "Superbad" star Jonah Hill. The way he brings this character to life is such a pleasant surprise from Hill. Of course John C. Reilly does a superb job as the leading character and Marisa Tomei does well as the love interest. First off the chemistry between Reilly and Hill is fantastic, you really get the feeling they enjoyed riffing off one another. But what really separates this movie from average is the interesting depths the Cyrus character will go in order to remain close to his Mom. Not to mention this film is filled with laughs and hilarious awkward moments So if this movie happens to be playing near you, don't hesitate to go see it. It's not entirely what I expected but it surprised me pleasantly and took more out of it than I thought I would have.

Overall Grade: B+

Inception- a film about a group of people who enter dreams, where they find out danger awaits even in the mind. Starring Leonardo Dicaprio (Shutter Island), Joseph-Gordan Levitt (G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra), Ellen Page (Whip It), Marion Cotillard (Nine), and Cilian Murphy (Sunshine). When you have such a fucking epic cast, you know its bound to be worth your money. Didn't really grasp on for the first ten minutes or so, but it picks up immediately and never stops. Such a very interesting concept, and it goes without saying that Chris Nolan is an intelligent filmmaker. Really can't find anything to complain about, and although I still have questions the film was absolutely worth it. If you don't go to watch this film, your stupid. Its as simple as that.

i don't even feel like going in-depth in the review. it is officially my favorite work of Nolans (my previous favorite was Memento), and it's my latest addition to my perfect 10's (my last one being There Will Be Blood). it was one of the most engrossing experiences ever, and I literally just wanted more. I could have handled four hours of this movie. Five even. Just incredible. Truly did take my breath away.

As a toxin begins to turn the residents of Ogden Marsh, Iowa into violent psychopaths, sheriff David Dutton tries to make sense of the situation while he, his wife, and two other unaffected townspeople band together in a fight for survival.

Note: I have not see the original film, so my review might be biased. I thought this movie was way better than I was expecting. Let's face it, remakes 9 times out of 10 don't work. Keep the originals alone and create an idea on your own, that's what really sells. But in this case "The Crazies" works. I honestly haven't got a clue who any of the actors were but for the type of film this was they played their parts accordingly, nothing Oscar worthy but fine enough. Some of the movie was pretty damn predictable and they used way too many cheap jump scares. Even with that the film is very tense and it's really hard to determine what happens next. Really makes you think about all the Airplanes in the sky and what some of them are carrying.

it was that good. literally every minute of it is interesting. the dialogue moves the plot just as quickly as the fast-paced action. i felt like i had only been in the theater an hour tops. plus it was just such a unique movie, you were really INTERESTED in the plot which is rare these days. so many times you see a formula you've already seen before, but this was a whole new idea, and every single conversation they had about the idea was remarkable.

Halloween 2 (2009) (re-watch)

Bought it for 1 dollar at blockbuster and gave it a second chance. i enjoyed it more than i did the 1st time but still has a horrible ending and the kid Michael Myers is probably the worst actor i've ever seen. Rob Zombie is just a terrible director.
