Mallrats

I used to think this was a good and clever movie. After watching it again recently, I realize I was moron when I thought this. This movie sucks. The guy who is not Brodie is a horrible actor. Jay And Silent Bob are the only thing in this movie that is remotely funny. Jason Lee tries his ass off, but Brodie is a fucking moron. Brenda from 90210 has always been annoying, but Joey Lauren Adams is still smoking hot back in this time. The LaFours allusion to Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid still works. The actor who plays Dante from Clerks is a welcome sight toward the end. Ok...Ben Affleck saying, "Who's your favorite New Kid?" is still funny.
Overall, this is a terrible movie.

American Ninja

This movie is still hilarious twenty-five years later. Dudikoff still has only like five lines in this movie, and Jackson is still extremely gay. The Mexican Ninja still rocks with his flamethrower, tiny guns, and lazers. I recommend this to anyone who loves movies so bad they're good.

NINJAS!

Sansho the Baliff (Kenji Mizoguchi, 1954)
I think I have found my new favorite film. This is so amazing that I was speechless after watching this. Such a well crafted, emotional film that doesn't fall into the traps of how Hollywood pulls the heart strings of the viewers. Perfectly paced and shot film that while is slow, it doesn't feel slow. It hit the same emotional highs and lows for me as The Passion of Joan of Arc, Tokyo Story and The Burmese Harp did. I could write an academic paper on this but not right now. For anyone who considers themselves a serious film lover, needs to seek this film out.

Lord of the Rings: Return of the King - 10/10

Not a better movie out there in my eyes. It's top notch from beginning to end. You can feel each and every emotion at the end when Frodo finally destroys the ring and it's great.

I love this flick. One of my favorite zombie/zombie-like movies. I've seen it no less than 20 times

High Fidelity follows the 'mid-life' crisis of Rob, a thirty-something record-store owner who must face the undeniable facts - he's growing up. In a hilarious homage to the music scene, Rob and the wacky, offbeat clerks that inhabit his store expound on the intricacies of life and song all the while trying to succeed in their adult relationships.

Fan-******* TASTIC! I seriously adored this film. Might bump it's way ontop my Top 30 Films of all time Now, I'm a giant fan of 'Say Anything' and now that I've seen this John Cusack is becoming one of my favorite current actors. The movie is truly a 'music lovers' movie. It has heart; it's hilarious & is romantic without being overly cheesy or boring. The way Fidelity balances all elements into one is truly the markings of great movie-making. Do yourself a favor and go see High Fidelity. There's something in here for everybody. Sit back, relax & enjoy

What do you like better as far as newish zombie movies go: 28 Days Later or Dawn of the Dead remake?
