Paranormal Activity- a film about a couple who are haunted by a demonic being, and all is seen through a video camera. I am a big fan of the handheld camera recording style. Cloverfield and Blair With Project are two of my favorite films ever. But I must say I honestly, never felt scared in a horror film, apart from the end of Blair Witch which was creepy. I felt kinda disappointed with this film. I didn't like the girl's acting. And although it was filmed pretty well I think it could have offered more for scare factor. It didn't feel as real to me as it should of. Maybe its scary for someone who is creeped out by ghosts and spirits, or someone who rarely watches horror movies. Still worth the watch, but I wanted more.

7/10

Couples Retreat- a film about four couples who head to Eden Island, in hope of bettering their flailing relationships. Starring Vince Vaughn (Four Christmases), Malin Akerman (The Proposal), and Jason Bateman (Extract). I was right when I originally thought that this film was one, where the best parts are seen in the trailer. Not overly funny, with few smirk moments. I usually like Vaughn in films, but he didn't feel as present this one. Really wasn't very impressed with the overall film and I felt it was underwhelming. Nowhere near the best comedy of the year, but definitely not the worst either.

Law Abiding Citizen- a film about a man behind bars for murder, and how he manages to create danger from inside the cell. Starring Gerard Butler (Gamer), Jamie Foxx (The Soloist), and Leslie Bibb (Confessions of a Shopaholic). I really enjoyed watching this film. It was predictable at times, but still very solid nonetheless. I liked both Foxx's and Butler's performance. I knew I would enjoy this film since the first time that I saw the trailer a couple of months back. I know I say this a lot for a lot of films, but this is definitely one of the better films of the year.

The Jerk - A masterpiece of a film. Watched it again recently and its still one of my favorite comedies of all time. Steve Martin pretty much nails the role perfectly.

Where The Wild Things Are- a film about a little boy who runs away from home and ends up in a land with creatures, known as "wild things". Based on a popular childrens book of the same name. I was unfamiliar with the plot heading into the film, but thought I might as well give it a shot after hearing positive reviews from people. I must say, it wasn't as spectacular as people made it out to be. Nothing that special, although it was a good film. The little boy was such a fucking annoying character, I felt like punching him. Well putting all that aside, its a solid film although I thought it could have had the potential to be a lot better.

Surrogates - Bruce Willis, Sci Fi - Humans use robots which they control from their homes to carry out all aspects of their daily lives, this seemed like a very cool concept but I was just left feeling they could have explored this idea much more. Very by-the-numbers, I thought Will Smith in I, Robot was much better.

Cirque Du Freak: The Vampires Assistant- a film about two boys who travel to a freak show, and get caught in problems involving vampires. Starring John C. Reilly (Step Brothers), Chris Massoglia, and Josh Hutcherson (Journey To The Center Of The Earth). The film is based on a set of books, which I was previously unfamiliar with. The trailer of the film wasn't very impressive when I first saw it. Surprisingly the film wasn't as bad as I was imagining it to be. It wasn't anything spectacular or special, but it had an interesting enough plot. And its always entertaining to watch John C. Reilly in a role he plays pretty well. A lot of vampire movies and such around today, but this one was unique in its own way. Overall, nothing special but not bad at all.

Just finished up a Bang Bros video with Jayden James in it, and I'll be honest I was satisfied. 9/10.
