District 9:

I wont go into much detail because it would spoil the film for anyone going to see it, but this is the best film I've seen in a long, long time. Probably ranking 1 or 2 on my list of top movies.

It's a sci-fi film that actually isn't crammed with action, but when it has action it's brilliant. It's got the emotional factor and you can actually sympathise with the aliens in the film, and it's damned funny at some points aswell. If I could reccomend any film to go and see this summer/year, it would be District 9.

Gamer- A film about prisoners who take part in a real life action video game, where their lives are on the line. Starring Gerard Butler (The Ugly Truth), Amber Valletta (Premonition), and Chris "Ludacris" Bridges (Max Payne). The film really reminded me of Death Race from last year, which I enjoyed. This film was decent, very weird at times but not bad at all. Good action in places, and it wasn't as bad as I initially thought it would be. It was monickered as the last good film of the summer, and I would agree. Gerard Butler films are pretty damn fun to watch. Now all I gotta do is check out "Extract" this week.

Extract- a film about an owner of an Extract flavor company, who has a failing relationship and tries to hook up with the temp at work. Starring Jason Bateman (State of Play), Mila Kunis (Max Payne), and Ben Affleck (He's Just Not That Into You). A film by Mike Judge. I watched this film mainly because I love Mila. It was actually very entertaining. Bateman and Affleck delivered good performances, same with the rest of the supporting cast. Its got some great funny moments, and I could watch this film again. I recommend this film, to people who like comedies, or Mike Judge for that matter. Really loved it!

the Boondock Saints

One of my favorite movies of all time. It's a low budget independent film made for about 6-7 million dollars and I love every minute of it.

Willem Defoe is absolutely awesome in this film. His performance is well worth the price for the DVD.

Isn't this the movie where Defoe keeps telling that guy to get him a cup of coffee every time he guesses the murder situation wrong?

I also highly enjoyed this film.

I'm not in the mood for a full review at the moment (might write one up later), but you should all see "The Hurt Locker".

Best movie of the summer. Easily.

9- a film about a stitchpunk named 9, and how he meets others of his kind while trying to find out the meaning of his existence. Featuring the voices of Elijah Wood (Happy Feet), John C. Reilly (Step Brothers), and Jennifer Connellly (He's Just Not That Into You). While the animation in the film is excellent, and the plot sounds good it wasn't that interesting. I don't think it was as special as I heard it would be. Still makes for an interesting times, although there are better options to spend your time with, than this film.

Just watched Drag Me To Hell. Any film with a talking goat and a guy vomitting a kitten gets my vote everytime.

Special effects were laughable, the part where the old crazy bitch's eye pops out onto the chick's face looked like it was drawn onto the film reel with crayons by a 6 year old blind kid with down-syndrome.

The ending was class though. Good watch.
