It really doesn't depend on if you liked basketball. It shouldn't be that hard to understand that it's a kids movie. It was made for kids, marketed at kids, and you need to be a kid for it to actually appeal to you.

Can't really rate it, no Acting involved, lol
The whole first half of the movie is mostly acting. There are a bunch of different skits. I'm not sure what you're talking about. Even the stand-up is technically acting.

Dude I saw that Movie when I was a Kid and it sucked, my little brother saw it a few weeks ago and he's 7 he got up and turned that TV off, the movie just plain sucked MJ and Looney Toons oh yea that's an instant Classic

As for the skits I don't consider that acting like a real comedy movie i.e Knocked Up, Super Bad, Juno ect.

I have 2 Ratings since i just watched both of these Earlier today...

Mortal Kombat : The Movie, Starring Robin Shou,Bridget Wilson

Great Action Film Based on the Very Popular Video Game,Alot of Great Fighting Scenes and I enjoyed the entire Movie,Worth a look if your a fan of MK

**** Stars..Great Movie

and...

Mortal Kombat Annihilation/Abomination as i like to call it

This Movie was Horrendous..Horrible Acting,Plot and Half the Charicters were ass-backwards,as Bad Charicters were cast as Good Charicters and Vice Versa and Johnny Cage being killed in the beginning was just wrong

Dont Waste Your time with this Movie,it Sucks

* Star Hell,Ill give it no Stars

If you recall, the main reason Rockhead even watched this film was because of the "craze" it had back in the day--meaning that you were in the minority if you didn't like this movie as a kid. I'm not saying you can't have your own opinion, but the success of the movie when it first came out is the proper frame of reference to be looking from.

And as for your little brother not liking it, that makes perfect sense: It's 2008! Michael Jordan has been retired for years, and Looney Toons doesn't even play on TV anymore. Of course a kid influenced by current pop culture won't be able to relate to most of references made in this movie, but shouldn't that be expected considering that it was made in 1996? I refer you back to my first post on the subject:

I'm not just trying to defend the movie, but logically, if both of those conditions aren't met (impossible anyway), then you won't find this movie to be very good. It just doesn't make a lot of sense to bash the movie when you take neither the time frame nor the age of the viewer into consideration.

Yeah there's a difference, but to save us from getting into a "what is acting?" discussion, why do you think that this difference makes you unable to rate the movie?

Robocop- a film about a man who turns into a cyborg cop, hence the name Robocop. This film has got some nice action, and I think the whole concept of a Robocop was pretty cool. It is a good film, some of the lines used by Robocop are hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing at the part where Robocop was sitting in his chair and going through his little trauma. It might be a little cheesy, but it is enjoyable fun.

Edit- sorry for the double post I didn't realize my post was the last one..

In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale
- First off, I never played the Dungeon Siege game, so I have no idea if the game was good or not. But I will tell you one thing, the film is atrocious. I'll give it some credit, the action in it is pretty nice, but thats about it. Jason Statham is not meant for a role of farmer in a fantasy film. And Ray Liotta looked like he did not want to do this film at all. I've heard that Uwe Boll was a horrible director, but this film has to rank with his worse. Now I see why this film didn't even earn a spot on this weeks box office. The story is all over the place, and doesn't make sense at times. Final verdict, wait for Cloverfield.

3/10

Thank You For Smoking- Aaron Eckhart does pretty good in this film. He plays a big tobacco industry lobbyist and does a good role, no doubt. I found it pretty interesting watching this film, because it is on the side of the opposition. You would expect a film about the negatives of tobacco, but this film revolves around a man who defends it for a living. I wish there was more Katie Holmes in this film (I have a thing for her), but we can't always get what we want. Overall, I don't think many of you would find it interesting, but I thought it was good.

1.Bruce Almighty : Starring Jim Carrey and Jennifer Aniston

Its a Story of a Newsman whose life is sort of Crumbling after losing out on a Lead Broadcaster position and Having Difficulties with his Wife so he prays to God for Help and Ends up Meeting God and Receiving his Powers for a few days..This is a Hillarious Movie for anyone that likes Jim Carrey,The Scene with Steve Carrell babbling in the News Room is by far the Funniest Shit ive ever seen in my life and I recommend this movie to anyone.

**1/2 Stars

2. Evan Almighty - Starring Steve Carrell

This is the Sequel of Bruce Almighty,And though it may not be as good as the First one, this was a pretty good movie..Its about Evan(Also in Bruce Almighty) Who leaves his position as an Anchorman to become a US Congressman,He prays to god and tells him that he wants to Change the World. God Appears and asks him to build an Ark to save the city from a Flood. This is atleast worth a rent.

** Stars

^^^^Bruce Almight was the Shit, I loved it, that movie was towards Young Adults while Evan Almight was a Family Film, both really good in their own way oh and Even was in Theaters

Mr. Woodcock

Billy Bob, Sean William, and Susan Surandon

Its about Billy Bob being Seans coach when he was young and when he grows up he writes a Book comes home and finds out that his Mom (Surandon) is dating Billy Bob

Pretty Funny Movie, I always enjoy Billy in Movies, Sean is quite funny sometimes also, overall it wouldn't be a bad movie to see

Juno
After watching Micheal Cera in Superbad, and hearing great things about this movie, i decided to check it out and i was very impressed. The movie is funny but doesnt try to be stupid or raunchy. Ellen Page plays her role extremly well, as does just about everyone in the movie. I really enjoyed this one.

Rating: A-

Shoot Em' Up
Well, being a fan of action flicks and Monica Bellucci i decided this one a go. This movie will get the adrenaline going and doesnt let up in anyway. Its like a car wreck, (but in a good way), you just cant take your eyes off of it. Its really hard to explain in a just a few sentences about this one. There are two problems however, Some of the special effects look really rushed and not polished. Second, is some of the acting (mostly by the back up characters) is very cheesey and forgettable. Outside of that, the movie kicks serious ass.

Rating: B+

The Thing- A film by John Carpenter, the same guy who brought you Halloween. This film is about a group of men in Antarctica that are attacked by an alien being known as The Thing. The thing can take the form of humans which causes suspicion among the men. Overall, this film is great. I can see why this film is considered as one of the best horror films of all time. Kurt Russell does well in his performance. If you haven't seen this, go out and rent it for sure.

8/10

Creepshow- a movie composed by Stephen King and George Romero that consists of five horror stories. I liked the idea of the film, and I guess I will review each segment of the film on its own.

Fathers Day- a story about a father who comes back from the grave to get revenge on those that killed him. The whole time I thought that the guy was saying "Wheres my cane?", when in reality he was saying "Wheres my cake?" Was kind of short, I guess it was ok. 5/10
The Lonely Death of Jordy Verill- definitely the worst of the five. This one stars Stephen King and is about a man who turns into a plant after touching a meteorite. Horrible indeed. 3/10
Something to Tide You Over- this one was sheer brilliant. About a man (Leslie Nielsen), who plots revenge on his wife and her lover. He takes them to the beach and buries them in sand and lets the tide do the rest. A pretty good one, had me interested throughout. 8/10
The Crate- about a monster in a box that kills and feeds on humans when it is unleashed. Not bad at all, the second best story from the 5. 7/10
They're Creeping Up On You- about a greedy stuck up man who has an infestation of cockroaches in his house. Pretty simple plot, I think more could have been done with it. 6/10

Overall, Creepshow is a good experience.

7/10
