I'll be honest and say that this has to be 1 of the most emotional films i've ever watched. Rourke's performance from beginning to end is along with Ledger in TDK the best i've seen all year. I believe that not only every wrestling fan should see it, but even people that don't watch wrestling.

And you can believe that almost every wrestler, past, present and future are going to watch it.

9.5/10
Just watched it as well, and I agree with everything you said. The Wrestler is truly one of the best movies i've seen this year. Not only that, but I felt that it made a realistic interpretation of the wrestling industry.

I am not be afraid to give this movie a 10/10.

You weren't perfect but you made life worth it

Mondays Movies

Taken - *** (7/10)
- 2009 (to be released movie) action flick starring Liam Neeson. His daughter is taken away, and he happens to be a man with the tools and skills to get her back. The plot is paper thin, and some of the actual events are wishy washy, but there is nothing denying Neesons greatness. He is hardcore in this movie, very extreme, and some nicely put together action scenes make for an overall entertaining experience.

Rachel Getting Married - **** (9/10)
- 2008 drama starring Anne Hathaway as a woman coming from rehab to her sister's wedding. This is a GREAT movie, one of the best this year. It is a very intimate movie, with an excellent story and just real, powerful drama. It comes off as so realistic, and the directing is great, and you feel a part of the events going on. Hathaway is spectacular, and anyone that is thinking Jolie is still the top notch choice for Changeling probably hasnt seen this movie yet. Hathaways character is a whirlwind, and she is the true force behind it.

cool and smooth, that's how i play.

Bedtime Stories- a film about a hotel handyman who tells bedtime stories to his niece and nephew, and the stories come true. Starring Adam Sandler (You Don't Mess With The Zohan), Keri Russell (August Rush), and Guy Pearce (Traitor). A pretty good family film, all in all. Sandler is good as usual, and Russell Brand brought some color to this film as well. Of course, don't expect this film to be spectacular. But it does get the job of entertaining done.

7/10

Re: Rate & Mini-Summarize the Last Movie You Saw

Started last night with SAW, and today watched II, III, IV and V.

SAW

With a dead body laying between them, two men (Whannell and Elwes) wake up in the secure lair of a serial killer who's been nicknamed "Jigsaw" by the police because of his unusual calling card.

Definitely 1 of my favourite Horror films and with 1 of the greatest twist endings ever in a Horror.

SAW II

Jigsaw locks a few unlucky people in a booby trapped shelter and they must find a way out before they inhale too much of a lethal nerve gas and die. But they must watch out, for the traps Jigsaw has set in the shelter lead to death also.

Again i'm a big fan of this one aswell, nowhere as much as number one though.

SAW III

Jigsaw kidnaps a doctor to keep him alive while he watches his new apprentice put an unlucky citizen through a brutal test.

Now they start to get bad. Still it has it's moments.

SAW IV

Jigsaw and his apprentice Amanda are dead. Now, upon the news of Detective Kerry's murder, two seasoned FBI profilers, Agent Strahm and Agent Perez, arrive in the terrified community to assist the veteran Detective Hoffman in sifting through Jigsaw's latest grisly remains and piecing together the puzzle. However, when SWAT Commander Rigg is abducted and thrust into a game, the last officer untouched by Jigsaw has but ninety minutes to overcome a series of demented traps and save an old friend or face the deadly consequences.

Like the previous but worse.

SAW V

Detective Hoffman and Agent Strahm clash as they each investigate the apparent continuation of the Jigsaw murders.

First time watching this today and i was looking forward to it after i heard a friend say it was the second best. Easily Worst imo, they should of finished the series as a trilogy.

As they have gone on, they have gotten so much worse.

SAW 9.5/10
SAW II 9/10 (I'm a bigger fan then most of this)
SAW III 7/10
SAW IV 5/10
SAW V 3/10

Tuesdays Movies

Street Fighter Alpha - *** (7/10)
- 2000 anime flick based around the popular game Street Fighter. It is pretty solid work, has some good action and nice animation throughout, it goes pretty quick for 90 minutes. It sometimes delves into cheesy or redundant territory, but for the most part it is a fun watch, especially if you are a fan of the franchise.

Undeclared (Season 1) - ***1/2 (8/10)
- 2001-02 television series that only lasted one season. Another Judd Apatow television attempt like Freaks and Geeks, this had Jay Baruchel (the canadian guy from Knocked Up), Seth Rogen, and many other familiar Apatow faces. Also had some guest appearances from Stiller, Sandler, and Ferrell. It wasnt as funny as Freaks and Geeks, but for a half hour show, it did a pretty solid job of getting in a nice story and still keeping up with the jokes. Well worth the 17 episode watch, finished it in like three days.

Day the Earth Stood Still [re-watch] - ** (4/10)
- 2008 sci fi thriller starring Keanu Reeves and Jennifer Connelly. Saw this in IMAX with my family, basically was about as fun as the last time i saw it in theaters. No fun. Still badly written, still had the same mediocre acting, and still carried a lame anti-climactic ending.

cool and smooth, that's how i play.

Agreed.

I recently bought/watched the DVD; Sex and Deaths 101.

Which is about a man, who finally thinks he's going to get settled in, he's about to get married. But then he gets an mysterious email, with the names of every girl he has banged, and will bang. He mentions he only did 29 girls, but the list has 101 girls, and his fiance was name #29.

I don't want to describe more, because it would end up being spoilers, I think.
But It's a pretty "smart" movie for a sexual romantic comedy.
I liked it, but alot of parts where it is predictable (to me atleast).
Personal rating: ****

Thank you all.

Defiance- a true story about the Bielski brothers and how they fight to survive the Nazi's, and rescue Jews during World War II. Starring Daniel Craig (Quantum of Solace), Liev Schreiber (The Omen), and Jamie Bell (Jumper). A very good war film, in which Daniel Craig shows superb acting. If you like films relating to the Holocaust or World War II, you need to see this film. Great film, that gives the movies of 2009 a great start.

Re: Rate & Mini-Summarize the Last Movie You Saw

Resident Evil: Degeneration- a film where Claire Redfield and Leon Kennedy battle a terrorist along with the good old zombies. Its an animated film which takes place after the events of Resident Evil 4. I must say the man who directed this film, played the games. It stays a lot truer to the games than the three live action Resident Evil films we have seen. Well done, and any fan of the game would enjoy this film.
