Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer
I was dissapointed with this movie on many levels. I can only take so much shitty innuendo in one movie and this takes the cake. Did the creators even read the comics? Galactus isnt a fucking cloud! and the silver surfer is much more bad ass than they portrayed him to be. There was a few good action sequences and it doesnt hurt that jessica alba was in it. I was ok the first time i watched it.
Rating: D+
Final verdict: Kind of an Eh movie with only a few good redeming values. Can people ever get comic book/video game movies right?

SAW IV
Now, with Saw IV, the pieces have all come together. It’s not only gory and twisted, but it’s suspenseful, well acted, and has a shocking ending

It's supposed to be a cat and mouse game but after the first hour, it's pretty much dominated by the vigilante, pedophile seeking Haley. Don't get me wrong it was a good movie but in my opinion way overrated. People haven't seen revenge flicks before? That's all this was. Likewise, the whole victim/turned sicko and sicko turned victim has been done before too.

Re: Rate & Mini-Summarize the Last Movie You Saw
Crank
Good action that really doesnt let up. That can be a double edged sword however. It can be hard to keep up with it when the movie moves so fast. Jason Stathman pulls off another pretty good role. Its obivous to me that he plays best in action but can do the comedy as well (ex. Snatch & Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels). The story is a little hard to believe but when there is so much stuff going on, you really dont focus on the story.
Rating: B-
Final Verdict: A edge of your seat thrill ride that never slows down.

The Corpse Bride
Tim Burton strikes again!! I think this film is pretty good, lives up to The Nightmare Before Christmas. Really had me interested throughout it.

I know this is a double post, but no one is replying to this thread, so I will go ahead..
Beowulf
a very good film visually, it is a theater experience. The story is not too good in my opinion, but it is still worth the watch. And oh yeah, Angelina Jolie nude= good stuff

Re: Rate & Mini-Summarize the Last Movie You Saw
Planet Terror
First let me start off by saying Robert Rodriguez is fucking awesome and this movie really shows that. This takes off from old school zombie movies. The style used in the movie is really well done, using the frame distortions and color shifting, too make you feel like your watching at an old movie theater or a drive in. This style is accented by crazy action sequences, soaked with gallons of blood and fake body parts. The story is a bit perplexing but really makes up for that with the style. The movie isnt all serious, as sarcasm and humor also come in at certain points in the story. This isnt your usual zombie flick but enjoyable none the less. Also Rose McGowan plays her role really well.
Rating: B+ or A-
Final Verdict: A Fun, Sexy, crazy action flick that makes you relive the old zombie flicks.

Re: Rate & Mini-Summarize the Last Movie You Saw
Almost Famous
One of my favorite films of all time. It's in my top five no matter what mood I'm in.
This is a movie that almost any music fan would enjoy. It's well written and there's some great performances in it, especially from Kate Hudson.
I have to give this move an A... and it's very rare for me to put a grade that high on a movie.
