Re: Rate & Mini-Summarize the Last Movie You Saw

Grindhouse: Death Proof- Just as awesome as Planet Terror. There is a lot of talking, which isn't uncommon in Tarentino films, so you really got to have patience while watching. I say the last 20 minutes make the entire film. The car chasing is awesome, and Stuntman Mike is truly a great ass bad guy. I suggest this one, because Quentin Tarentino does not disappoint.

9/10

The Simpsons Movie- saw this back in July, and I loved it. It is absolutely funny and just as funny the second time around. Man if Homer were real, I would like to get his autograph because he is a legend. If you are a Simpsons fan but haven't seen this film, then you aren't a Simpsons fan.

10/10

Bratz.
Typical High School topiced movie aimed for kids. Similar to HMS, for example. Entertaining though, and less cliches, if you ask me. Some nice humor mixed in it all.
I'd give it a 8.5/10

Re: Rate & Mini-Summarize the Last Movie You Saw

P.S. I Love You- I have wanted to see this film because I guess I like Hilary Swank. Well its a love flick, so it probably appeals to more chicks than guys. Gerard Butler isn't in the film too much. Overall, if you want to watch a romance go ahead and see this one, its not bad.

Death Proof - If your a Tarantino fan, you'll love this movie. I thought it was great, me being a Tarantino fan myself. It had that 70's look at feel to it, and there was a lot of talking and such, but the end was the best. Great film, imo.

Face/off- this truly is one hell of a film. A great performance by Nicolas Cage and John Travolta. Whats really good about it is both guys, had to play a hero and a villain. It really keeps you interested from beginning to end. I really recommend this film to all, because it was worth my 2 and a half hours.

The Simpsons Movie

It is everything The Simpsons TV show is and more. I wished I had watched it with just my wife and I before we let our daughter see it. Not that what is in it is terrible, but wished I would have known a few parts before she saw it. I thought it was hillarious.

A

Of course that's just my opinion,

I could be wrong.

(But I'm not)

Alpha Dog

Watched it for the first time tonight and actually ended up really liking it. Did not make much in theaters and got some pretty bad ratings from what I saw but I thought it was decent. Justin Timberlake did good job with his role as did Emile Hirsch. Did not feel he was the right guy for the role but did a good job with it I think. Ending was sad tbh, killing a 15 year old boy for doing nothing wrong . Thing that bugged me though was how they took the kids brother out after Emile Hirsch phoned him. Did not even see him or anything after and if he even attempted to get revenge. The interview with the kids mom at end was pretty disturbing as well. Just at the point she was going between laughing and crying, was all pretty surreal. He can see why though as when you loosing something that means the most to you in the world it has to be tough and drive a person to insanity.

7/10 I guess.

Re: Rate & Mini-Summarize the Last Movie You Saw

I watched two last night.

Saw 4

I'm a huge Saw mark, but I missed this when it came out in October due to work. And thanks to torrents, I got the dvd rip two weeks before it came out. Jigsaw is dead in this one as you all probably know, but the game is still on. Or is it? Thats the thing about the movie, it's one big riddle throughout the entire movie. I really can't give too much away or else it really ruins it for those who haven't seen it. I will say that Saw 3 & 4 go hand in hand.

Overall: 7/10. Huge mark for the series, but this was the worst one.

Grindhouse: Planet Terror

This movie totally owns Death Proof (which really, really sucked, imo)in every single way possible, thus confirming once again what I have always though, and that is that Tarantino is veeeeery overrated. Anyway, a toxin of sorts gets out and people turn into zombies, basically. The action is very over the top and fun. Rose McGowen is the main character in the movie, which is always a plus. This was just a very fun, entertaining movie to me. I didn't really expect to like it, although I am glad that I did. Also, did I mention that Rose McGowen is the main character?

Overall: 8.5/10. Owns Death Proof.

Re: Rate & Mini-Summarize the Last Movie You Saw

Superbad- second time I watched this film. If you have ever been through high school you will find this pretty funny. It actually is very funny at times, not too big a fan of the last twenty minutes though. The bad thing about this film though, is the fact that it is terribly overrated along with Knocked Up. But still its worth a watch for sure.

Charlie Wilson's War - Amazing film. PSH is top notch. Hanks is awesome as usual, hell, it's pretty much a given whatever movie he's in, his acting performance is above and beyond. PSH though, was awesome. I couldn't stop laughing after the first, quick, flash to him at the beginning of the movie. It was unexpected and hilarious. Every rant and remark he made was subtle, yet highly hilarious. 4/5
