Re: Rate & Mini-Summarize the Last Movie You Saw
Batman Forever - After the two pretty sucessful Batman & Batman Returns Tim Burton flicks, Joel Schumacher took over the movie franchise & Michael Keaton was replaced by Val Kilmer in the role of Bruce Wayne.
Although the critics seem to get worst and worst as the "Batman" movies went (until the return of series with Christopher Nolan & Christian Bale) I found the movie (after having not looked at it for a good 7 years not that bad at all. I think the plot to the story is quite good. The tag team of villains comprised of two of the best actor of our generation, Tommy Lee Jones (Two Face) & Jim Carrey (the Riddler) adds a lot to this movie and the addition of Robin to Batman's "stable" of "super hero friends" adds up for the fact that the movie is quite long (122 min.) for the amount of "real" action we see throughout.
I didn't really care for the love story between Nicole Kidman's character & Bruce Wayne's as, like any Batman movie, Bruce's love affairs never work out. And going the opposite way would also make no sense at all.
I'd recommend this movie based on a few things. The decors to the revamped Gotham City are worth looking at at least once. The comedy between the characters is always well played out and the struggle of Chris O'Donnell's character could warm someone who's feeling quite low on energy or love.
But as much as Val Kilmer almost made me cry in his "blind man" movie and, as much as I liked him in "Heat", he doesn't fit the "Bruce Wayne" persona. At times it almost feels as if this "Bruce Wayne" is a long lost cousin of the real "Bruce Wayne" that has lost all of his "comical" side and that really is nothing more than a schizophrenic in a bat costume. I guess it's hard to judge the "Bruce Wayne's" of this world as there have been so many incarnations over the years, whether in movies or cartoons, but this one doesn't really beat out any of the other versions, even Adam West's.
All in all, it's a movie you really need to watch at least once if you're a fan or die hard fan of the Batman character. If you are not, maybe have a plan "B" in tow if you get bored watching it. All in all I believe this movie would have been better if there hadn't been a follow up movie that almost killed the "Batman" series forever altogether. But if you take away the fact that the 4th movie was a total waste of time, this one is not as bad as some people make it look. Batman does indeed live Forever, as proof of today's rebirth.

Re: Rate & Mini-Summarize the Last Movie You Saw
the last movie i saw was sweeney todd: the demon barber of fleet street. it is based on the hit musical of the same name. its about a wrongfully convicted barber who returns to London to get his revenge on the judge who raped his wife. Im not a really big fan of musicals, but this movie was awesome. it was funny and bloody.

I found them very hard to enjoy. I liked the 3rd one better than the 4th but neither is something I have a craving to see again. If I'm flipping through the TV and one of them is on I usually watch but other than that.. meh. I absolutely love one and two though.

Watched this again with my sister. I'm a huge Cuthbert fan and I really enjoyed the movie. It was kinda predictable at some parts but I didn't see the ending coming. It's worth a rent but not really worth a buy.

Resident Evil: Extinction
Summary: Alice, now on her own exploring the west coast, meets up with her old crew of Carlos and meets the new female protagonist, Claire Redfield. blah blah blah, Umbrella is using clones of Alice to make an anti-serim. blah blah blah Wesker is apparently the chairman of Umbrella. blah blah blah they need gas so they go to Vegas. blah blah blah some scientist guys injects himself with tons of Alice's blood after being bitten by a new super zombie and he becomes a Tyrant. blah blah blah.
Rating: 2/10. it was fucking shit and an insult to Resident Evil fans (the games, not the fucking shitty movies)

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street- do not let the fact that this film is a musical turn you away. Its a great film, and a fine performance by Johnny Depp. A very dark film indeed, but at the same time brilliant. Tim Burton does it once again and brings forth something worth watching.
8/10
Charlie Wilson's War- I think this film is great depiction of Charlie Wilson. I read up on him a little bit and it was nice to see this film showing some of what happened in his life as a politician. Tom Hanks does well, same with Julia Roberts. It was also nice to see Amy Adams in this film after her role in Enchanted.

Re: Rate & Mini-Summarize the Last Movie You Saw
Accepted:
Movie is basically about this guy not getting into college, so he begins his own to make his parents feel proud. Then everyone starts getting accepted and begins to get all crazy.
Well, alot of people disliked/liked this movie, I loved it. Maybe it's because im in that type of situation myself and I could really connect with the different characters. Better than your run of the mill high school/college flick, definatley reccomend for a comedy.

Re: Rate & Mini-Summarize the Last Movie You Saw
Theres Something About Mary- truthfully, the first 20 minutes of this film are gold. I always had a thing for Cameron Diaz, she has striking eyes and is beautiful. Well anyways, its a good film, and it is good and well funny at times. Good film, good film.

Re: Rate & Mini-Summarize the Last Movie You Saw
Walk Hard
It was what everyone was really expecting, it was just a big spoof of Ray and Walk the Line. The movie itself was one of those comedies that you say was dumb but funny. The thing i loved about the movie was how really dirty it was, it showed off the male "figure" a few times. The acting in it was great and their was a few cameos that were short but made me laugh, not to mention the songs were fucking funny.
overall 8/10 it's a rent, don't bother to pay to see it but if you get a chance when it comes out on DVD rent it.

Juno:
Man, this one had it all. Good story, good humor and a wholesome-ness which hasn't got to me in awhile with films. Ellen Page's performance was so good, hope she wins whatever award she's up for. Michael Cera was funny like he always is, along with everyone else in the movie. I must say, seeing this movie in a full theater was quite the experience.
Definatley one of the best films this year, reccomended fully.
