Re: Rate & Mini-Summarize the Last Movie You Saw

Ezal: Smoke, buy me a 40oz for my birthday.
Smokey: Today your birthday?
Ezal: What's today?

Smokey: I've been smokin' ever since I was two.

Heh, yeah, awesome movie... too bad the other two pretty much sucked.

Re: Rate & Mini-Summarize the Last Movie You Saw

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008)

Indy is back searching for the Crystal Skull that the Soviets believe to be the new secret weapon or warfare.

First of all, I grew up on the original series and love each one including Temple. I tried to keep my expectations low but I'm sorry to say it didn't even meet those. I'm not saying it's complete shit, not on a Rocky 5 or Phantom of the menace level but as far as the Indy series goes it's definitely a far 4th. Realism has never been a strong point of these movies but at some point you gotta say WTF? Aliens really???? Shia going all Tarzan, the fridge scene etc.. But I can look past the ridiculousness and just see the movie as being a fun entertaining popcorn flick which it does accomplish somewhat. There are just too many flaws. From the subpar dialogs, overused CGI, unfunny jokes, (I think I laughed once or twice.)and most importantly a badly written script. Also The new characters weren't very fleshed out, in fact the only one that stood out was Indy. I like Shia as an actor but his character in this sucked. Karen Allen was not really needed and didn't play much of a role at all. A couple great scenes and Harrison still being Indy save this film from being crap but its something I wouldn't see again, not for a while at least. It took them 19 years to come up with this???

6/10

Yeah, I own it.

I was thinking of catching it on demand earlier, so I might.

Just curious, how many movies/DVD's approximately do you guys have?

I have around 2,000 I do believe, but that includes TV series and stuff like that.

I'm not much of a movie buff but i have like 42 plus the ones out in the living room that are the family's

It had Mike Epps in 'em and I can't stand him, ugh! That and it just pretty much sucked.

Tucker is a trip, too bad he hasn't really done nothing outside of Rush Hour for like the oh... past decade or so.

Dunno, I just got addicted to buying movies and can't find myself stopping.

Fuck it, instead of wasting 6 bucks at Blockbuster, I buy 'em.

Yes, I know I can download and burn them...

That because Tucker and his agents thinks he's worth 20 mil a movie.

Yeah, well, even Jackie Chan was smart enough to admit that his American films are garbage... or something similar to that I think he said.
