Re: Rate & Mini-Summarize the Last Movie You Saw

One Hour Photo

Seymour (Robin Williams) is a mini-lab photo technician who has no life whatsoever, he is lonely and depressed. He has been doing a certain family's photos for several years. He becomes obsessed with the family and their happiness. He becomes so obsessed that he begins to stalk them. He finds out that the husband/dad of the family has been having an affair which totally destroys Seymour's (Robin Williams) obsession with the family and begins to envy William (the husband/dad who's having the affair) because he has everything that he wants (Robin Williams). His boss finds out that he has been making copies of the pictures from the family and hangs them in his house. Robin Williams then begins to stalk his bosses daughter after being fired. I'm not gonna say anything else.

Rating - A

Re: Rate & Mini-Summarize the Last Movie You Saw

Charlie Wilson's War-It was a very good movie. It's based on a true story. The acting was very good. Phillp Seymour Hoffman shows why he is one of the best actors in the movies today with his role in the film. Tom Hanks was fine and Julia Roberts was also pretty good. It also had a good amount of comedy in the film.

Score: 4/5

Don't Mess with the Zohan
Adam Sandler is a counter terrorism agent that wants to be a hair dresser. That right there should tell you not to take this movie too seriously. Aside from the obvious ridiculousness of the movie, I found it funny. Not Sandler's funniest movie, and not his worst either. If you take it at face value, it is an alright movie.

B

Of course that's just my opinion,

I could be wrong.

(But I'm not)

Re: Rate & Mini-Summarize the Last Movie You Saw

Armageddon

This movie got a lot of criticism for not being realistic enough. Last time I checked, movies aren't suppose to resemble anything remotely close to realism, if I want reality, I'll watch a documentary.

Anyway, it stars Bruce Willis, Ben Affleck, Liv Tyler and a bunch of others. They have to do their best to stop an asteroid from crashing into earth and ending mankind as they know it. No, Bruce Willis isn't an astronaut, but an oil driller, one of the best according to everyone else.

It's chop-filled with loads of cheese, but I enjoyed every single minute of it. Always at the end of the movie, I always find myself tearing up a little bit. Most everyone has probably seen this movie, but I won't give away which part I'm talking about.

This movie came out during a time when other disaster movies were popular like Deep Impact (sounds like a porno to me), Volcano, Dante's Peak and what not.

I'd give it an 8.4/10, loved it.

Armageddon while somewhat cheesy is a great movie. Probably my favorite with Affleck aside from Dogma.

I only saw that one time and I was completely blitzed (Back when I did that stupid shit) out of my mind.

Then again, with that movie, it only makes sense.

Affleck was also pretty good in Changing Lanes as well.

I enjoyed Smoking Aces with Affleck... but he only had a minor role.

Ahh yeah I completely forgot about that movie, only seen it once. Don't remember it much because Samuel L. Jackson doesn't say Motherf****r enough.

Still think Dogma (which I thought was a real clever jab at Catholism) and Armageddon are better though.

He wasn't too shabby in Clerks either. I haven't seen part two of that yet though.. damn, I'm a slacker.

He gets a lot of heat for being a wooden actor ala Keanu Reeves. Speaking of him, if you want to see an awesome performance by him, in Devil's Advocate, he's the shiznit.
