Zombie Honeymoon (2004)

A recent newlywed couple's lives get turned upside down when the groom turns into a zombie.

With a title like that I came into this movie expecting good old fashioned chessy Zombie action, but this actually turned out to be more of a romantic movie than anything. It's very tough trying to make a serious toned Zombie movie, especially when fans of the genre demand the over-the-top gore and chessy dialogs that makes these movies so damn fun. It wasn't all that bad actually, the acting was below average but the creators tried their damnedest to make you care about the character which I think they accomplished. It was nice to see a different spin on the genre but I wasn't really into it. If you like your Zombie movies with some heart check this out, just don't go expecting your average campy horror movie.

Click- this film is truly one of the best films I have ever seen This was like my third time watching it because I had nothing better to do today. It has a nice blend of comedy and emotion, I damn near cry every time I watch this film. A lot of people don't like the films that Adam Sandler makes, but I enjoy a lot of his works. If you are a Sandler fan than you have to watch this film!

Dragon Heat
An Action/Drama staring Sammo Hung(Martial Law), Maggie Q(Live Free or Die Hard, Michael Biehn (Grindhouse), and BingBing Li(Forbidden Kingdom). The Movie is about 5 interpol agents sent to Toyko in order to help in the transport of a dangerous criminal. During the transport the caravan is intercepted by 5 highly trained assassins, who help the criminal escape. Now the 5 agents, along with a soon retiring police cheif, must track down the 5 assassins in order to end the blood shed. The movie is your basic HK Cop Drama/Action movie mixed with some more americanized Gun fights. The story is ok, but sometimes can be hard to follow. The one thing that iritated me is the dialouge. Most of the movie is done in Chinese, however parts of the movie are in Spoken english. Stick to one dialouge in the movie please. It was good for a one time view.

Ferris Buellers Day Off
Yeah Its Really Old, We Got Forced To Watch It In English But I Really Liked It. Its About A Guy Called Ferris (Matthew Broderick) Who Decides To Skip School And Go Around Chicago All Day While Tryin To Avoid His Principal.
I Thought It Was Funny And Real Good, And Also Matthew Broderick Was So Cute In That Film

Be kind rewind (2008)

After a failed sabotaged mission on a power plant, a junkyard tech (Jack Black) accidentally erases all the movies in his friends video store. They come up with a plan to re-shoot the movies themselves.

After the first 30 minutes or so I was rather disappointed. I don't think I laughed once up until then, but once they started with the remakes it really started to pick up. I was rolling on some of the ingenious ideas they came up with to re-shoot some of those popular films. My favorite has to be the Boyz N Da Hood one, where they just put a pizza behind the guys head to simulate a shooting LMAO. The plot is pretty basic, your typical raise X amount of money before this day or else. I think they could've came up with something a little more creative, but that aside, it's nice to see a comedy that doesn't have to be a "romantic comedy" which is rare these days. I could think of much worse ways to spend an hour and a half.

Ghosts of Mississippi Based on the true story of a racist that gets tried a 3rd , after 2 mistrials in the 60s, in the 90s for killing a black civil rights leader in 1963. Alec Baldwin is the prosecutor that takes up the case. Good movie

Simon Birch

It's about a boy named Simon Birch (Ian Michael Smith) who has a disease which makes him to be very small, only about 3'1" and just small all together. He thinks that he is a tool of God to do good and help people. Which in the end that turns out to be basically true. He has a best friend named Joe. Joe doesn't know who his father is, his mother gets killed which leaves him trying to find his father. Simon helps him and finds Joe's father. At the end of the movie they go on a church retreat. Simon drove up there with Joe's mom's ex-boyfriend to tell Joe who his father is, Joe who is basically just a chaperon on the trip. Simon decides to ride the bus back home instead of having Ben (Joe's mom's boyfriend) drive him home. Well the bus crashes into a lake, all the children panic, the bus driver escapes and only cares bout getting to himself to safety. Simon makes a plan, saves all the children, Joe and Simon then are put in the hospital due to ammonia since it was snowing and the water was very cold. Simon passes away which then makes Joe believe that Simon was right bout god using Simon as a tool to do good and help people.

Some funny parts and some sad parts. If you don't cry during this movie. You are not human.

The Strangers

Synopsis: (Taken from IMDB.com) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0482606/synopsis (Do NOT click link, as it may contain spoilers)

A young couple staying at a summer retreat are faced with a night of psychological terror. As the night goes on, the reality of what will come is more terrifying than anything both could have imagined.

I saw the movie trailer about a week ago, it had been awhile since I've seen a suspense/thriller/horror movie at a theater for awhile, so I decided to give it a go.

The story is fairly simple, but that doesn't mean it's not creepy as hell. I'm not going to give anything away, but just to say that I loved the visual work done on this movie, the eerie music that's played (mainly from the turntable in the couple's retreat), the vibe.. it was all done quite well.

If I could compare it to any movie from recent memory, then I'd probably have to say that Vacancy is one that comes to mind. That's not to say that it's anything like it, but it had some similarities in it for me, maybe it's just me.

That's all I'm going to say about it. I'd say it's worth a look if you want to see a simple, yet very creepy movie.

yeah it is much like Vacancy, like you I also enjoyed The Strangers.

Platoon- a film about a young man who experiences some of the horrors that war can bring. Starring Charlie Sheen (Scary Movie 4), Willem Dafoe (The Boondock Saints), and Forest Whitaker (Street Kings). This film is directed by Oliver Stone, who I believe is one of the better directors of our time. Great performances by everyone (except the Vietnamese's) part. I think this is a real standout war film, one of the best I have seen. If you haven't seen this film and happen to be a fan of war films or Oliver Stone, check it out.

I Am Sam

I don't even want to make a summary for this. Alls I have to say is, the movie is very sad and I couldn't even imagine what it'd be like if my daughters were taken away from me. If you don't cry during this movie, you're not human. It truly does show that everyone has pain in their life, no matter how different you are everyone needs love, everyone has a heart, everyone has feelings no matter how different you are from the average person, everyone has pain in their life and that everyone needs love no matter what, no matter if you have a handicap or anything. Love, that's what matters and that's what every human needs. This has to be the saddest movie I've ever seen. Like I said, I can't imagine what it'd be like if my daughters were ever taken away from me. I probably couldn't handle it. Anyways sorry for keep going on. This truly is a sad movie. My wife and I cried basically the whole time.
