National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets- this film was smashing, I found it a lot better than the first one. It truly was a great film, and Nicolas Cage proved to be great in this one. A lot more humor in this film. I loves film with so much controversy, and this film is one of them. Although the ending was too similar to the first one, overall it was great. I recommend it to all the fans of the first one.

I Am Legend

I saw this movie in IMAX and it was incredible! Will Smith is such a good actor, he makes you believe that he is alone. *Spoilers Alert* (well, kind of.) Smith has set up various mannequins in a video store. He acts like they are real people. He goes up to one of them and says "hello". Then, with tears in his eyes says "Please say hello to me. Please say hello to me." It is just amazing to see how he gets affected from being alone for so long. Anyways, the monsters are sick, and IMO the ending wasn't really weak.

What are your thoughts on the other Jaws sequels? I'm always interested to see what people think of the third and fourth films of the series.

Edward Scissorhands- I always end up liking Tim Burton's films, and this film was no exception. It is indeed a great film about a tale of an outcast who falls in love with a normal girl. Johnny Depp plays the role to perfection. If you like Tim Burton and Johnny Depp, watch this one.

8/10

Batman and Robin- George Clooney was a bad choice for Batman. This film is disastrous beginning to end.

4/10

the next review I will give will be the movie Pi.

Beowulf
A movie based on an old norse poem, needless to say i was skeptical going into it but i came out with not necessarily a good taste nor a bad taste, just a taste of indifference. The movie suffers from very corny and cheesey dialouge, but the voice acting is actually well done, Crispin Glover speaking old english need i say more? Anyway, the CGI is very well done, but the stiffness in the facial expressions is ever present through out the movie. Overall i enjoyed the movie to an extent but not the extent i was expecting.

Overall Rating: C-

Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernan- about a guy that wants to be the next Freddy Kruger, Jason Voohries, and Michaels Myers. He brings a film crew with him, who is surprisingly not startled by his methods and viewpoints, to show them how he's gonna set the whole thing up. All of the little horror things you know that are coming are addressed(teenagers having sex, the female heroine who has the willpower to fight back against all the odds, the traps, the suspicions, etc). Pretty interesting type of movie.

Rating: B

Pi- from the director of one of my favorite movies of all time, Requiem for a Dream. Well this film was entirely in black and white which truthfully made things harder to understand. And the whole thing about the mathematician going crazy really did confuse me. Ending was quite nice though. All in all, this is not Darren Aronofsky's best work.

5/10

Wild Things- a film about a master plan of getting money from a lady, by creating a rape scandal. The film plot was a little weird, and their were many plot twists involved. I can't say I was too impressed with how the film was laid out. But, I will give credit where credit is due. Denise Richards tits looked awesome in the film, and thats probably the only thing that made me watch this.

6/10

Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End

Can't say that I liked this movie. I found it confusing at times and didn't care for how it ended with the whole Will/Elizabeth thing. My wife didn't like it and she loved the first two movies.

But those movies were about an era 15-20 years before the movie was actually made. Superbad can't be put in the same category IMO.

Eastern Promises

This was a very good movie. Viggo Mortensen was great as the lead actor. He really played the role of a Russian mafia henchman and a Russian in general. Naomi Watts was also pretty good as the lead actress. Viggo and Naomi had some pretty good chemistry together. It was a very well acted movie. It had some good violent scenes and it also a pretty good fight scene in the bathroom/steamroom.

4/5 Rating. It was a very well acted movie. It was very good.
