Yeah its not a spoiler, since Aaron Eckhart (Harvey Dent/Two-Face) has said in numerous interviews for TDK that he would be appearing as Two-Face! But hes said to have a fair amount of screen time, not just a cameo in the end!

I always liked the Batman TAS version of Two-Face better than any others... this one looks alright to me... I guess they'll develop it more as the movies progress.

Nothing is confirmed. Yes, sequel talk arose after the great opneing weekend. But in 2 weeks following, it dropped off BIG time.

I read they were going to focus a little more on Harvey Dent in the trailers for the movie. But I just thought they were going to push him while not giving so much on the Two-Face character until the next movie. This is new to me. Now I have even a better reason to see the movie, not that the Joker wasn't enough.

The reports I read said he was signed but first had to direct a film called The Invisible Woman, but they've been wrong before.

The Dark Knight was never intended to be about The Joker. This was always going to be Harvey Dent's movie. The Joker is just Nolan's mean to a Two-Face end.

Nolan also wants each Batman movie to be a single story and not have one movie be where Harvey is hit with acid and then the next is about Batman vs. Two-Face. Dark Knight will have the encounter between Bats and Harvey. Nolan is supposedly a big fan of Loeb's Long Halloween/Dark Victory stories so it's not surprising he's trying to combine the two.

Besides, I honestly didn't expect them to be able to make a Batman movie dedicated just to The Joker. Nolan is actually trying to be faithful to the comics. Joker isn't a good enough villain to make a 2 hour movie of. He's just a psychopath and not much more to him. It could work though if they did a 2 hour Killing Joke, but that's not what Nolan wants.

I'm just glad he isn't fucking up by having a Joker like Burton tried. Awful, just awful.

(I'm sure i'm gonna get some "WTFs" from people for saying The Joker isn't a good enough villain to justify him being the main villain in this, but it's true. Look at Batman Begins. Everyone thought Scarecrow was the main villain, but he hardly did anything. Same with Ra's al Ghul. He is probably the only villain that can be justified as a main villain besides Harvey. Ra's is Bruce's equal in everything and is deep enough of a character to carry it on his back. But they didn't use him as much and the movie was more about Batman learning the ropes and how Gotham needs saving, not about who Batman is going to be fighting with next. The movie was more about Gotham and the people trying to save it. Which is perfect for The Dark Knight since Harvey has such a deep history as a District Attorney. The thing about Dark Knight that I'm probably most excited about is Harvey trying to be Gotham's protector. That and the meetings on top of City Hall with Bats, Harvey, and Gordon. The Joker probably won't do much in this movie either. He'll have the bank heist at the beginning, a fight or two with Bats, the Ball scene, and then a final showdown before being taken in. I hope that was a good enough argument.)

edit: Another reason Two-Face SHOULD be the main villain in this movie is that Nolan seems to have a running theme where mentors or friends either become lost to Bruce or betray him. If you've read Long Halloween or Dark Victory, you'll know how much losing Harvey impact Bruce. Especially how be blames himself since he could have saved him if he would have done what he was planning on doing.

It seems the way the series was going, that joker would still be a part of the third installment since he's connected to harvey...do u guys see the character just completely goin away after the dark knight or will they recast for a new joker? I hope not
