With that aside, I think they are capable of making this a great movie. Only if they do things correctly, though.

The Dark Knight: Heath Ledger Talks Joker & Hong Kong Filming Problem
Both are from Movieweb.com
Quote:
New York Times recently talked to Heath Ledger about his role in the upcoming Batman sequel entitled The Dark Knight.
Her are a few excerpts from the interview:
He is here in London filming the latest episode of the Batman franchise, The Dark Knight. It is a physically and mentally draining role - his Joker is a "psychopathic, mass-murdering, schizophrenic clown with zero empathy" he said cheerfully - and, as often happens when he throws himself into a part, he is not sleeping much.
"Last week I probably slept an average of two hours a night," he said. "I couldn't stop thinking. My body was exhausted, and my mind was still going." One night he took an Ambien, which failed to work. He took a second one and fell into a stupor, only to wake up an hour later, his mind still racing.
Here too was his Joker diary, which he began compiling four months before filming began. It is filled with images and thoughts helpful to the Joker back-story, like a list of things the Joker would find funny. (AIDS is one of them.) Mr. Ledger seemed almost embarrassed that the book had been spotted, as if he had been caught trying to get extra credit in school.

CNN is reporting that a scene from the new Batman sequel The Dark Knight has been nixed due to pollution in Hong Kong's iconic harbor.
Batman was to drop from a plane into the harbor, but the water quality was found to poses a health risk. The South China Morning Post stated, "The plan was for Batman to be seen jumping into the water and then climbing up some bamboo, or something similar. But when they checked a water sample, they found all sorts of things; salmonella and tuberculosis, so it was canceled. Now the action will cut to inside a building."

I really can't wait for The Dark Knight. Looks to be really awesome, I'm excited for it. The Joker looks awesome as always, definately captures the look but also adds a new feel to the character.

Harold and Kumar 2...can't wait
On a unrelated note***--The kid who get's the door slammed in his face by Steve Carrell in the trailer for "Dan in Real life" is a personal friend of mine, we go to the same school and I talk to him a lot in gym class. Just wanted to let you guys know that. That same school is where Matt Striker taught at, he was my Social Studies teacher a few years ago.
..But yeah, can't wait for Harold and Kumar 2

Jack Nickleson playing as the Joker kept the film alive it would have been nothing if Nichleson wouldn't have played the Joker

Re: Coming Soon / Trailers thread
yea, batman was so lame in that movie, the joker made it tolerable...but kinda shocked jack is so upset that he wasn't asked to play the joker again, i truly think ledger will blow that joker away...

Jack Bauer does not get taken prisoner. He puts himself in a disadvantageous position so as to make his next several killings more dramatic.
