I am so happy that David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson are returning to do this. After Duchovny left the show, it really went down hill. Then later on in the series they had Skully at more of a directive role, she wasn't ever out in the field.

Nothing can beat the Duchovny/Anderson combo.

I do think X Files is past its prime, though. It was one of the firsts to actually succeed in the genre, but now a days, all of its hype has died down, in my opinion.

Who knows though? Perhaps it will come back in a blaze.

Yes and no.

The last X-Files ended is 2002. So in reality, it hasn't been off the air for that long, but I really think its past its prime.

The X Files had a huge hype from 94 to 99. After that the casual X Files fan steered away and moved onto to other shows; while the X Files super geek stayed dedicated until the end of the series.

There are so many other shows out there that cater to what the X Files provided. The only thing that the X Files has is the super natural, or abnormal if you will, style. I really don't think that is enough to pull in enough casuals.

Who knows though. There has been larger surprises in the Television Industry than this.

Will it be a good show? I don't doubt it. Will it gross the audience it use to? I highly doubt it.

Awesome, I'm really pshyched about this.....as long as they get Mulder back it should be entertaining.

X-Files 2 gets it own thread?

I'm looking forward to it but its past its prime, its going to feel very old when watching this film

plus the series ended pretty well so why bring it back?

Why would the x-files not get it's own thread? This was the greatest show ever and no other show won as many awards as this show.

The show ended very bad, it left so many ?'s, like what happened to Skinner? What happened to Robert Patrick? Reyas? and others.

BTW The X-files show had it's highest ratings when Ropert Patrick was in it. Season 8 X81

I'm just glad they will be sticking with the original two face character who struggled with his inner self, rather than the goofy coin flipping mess we saw before.

quoted for truth. i HATED the fact that they showed Two-Face flipping his coin over and over to get what he wanted. the real Two-Face did one flip, whatever it was, that was final. good or bad

exactly, which made the character unique and more interesting because he had to struggle with the decision that was made of the coin instead of trying to get what he wanted making the coin completely irrelevant.
